D79_, 28 Jan 2013You lot are on another planet, always saying every phone looks like an iphone, dam get over it... moreThis BB10 is clearly a rip-off both in terms of hardware and software. And there's increasing competition because BB sales are at a new low, while Nokia are back again (Lumia 920 is GREAT + sells well) and Sony have some interesting concepts (Xperia Z is cool).

2013: Nokia is back as a major player in the smartphone market. Sony becomes a major Android player, putting pressure on Samsung. iPhone sales decrease. HTC sales decrease. BlackBerry dies.

It's a rip-off (the design is just like Sony Xperia). The software, BB10, is another copycat (MeeGo). BBM is not exciting anymore (people now use WhatsApp, even most BB users).

BlackBerry's App World is just too small (Android and iOS have lots more apps, Windows Phone is the fastest growing so droids and iOS will stay at top, WP will race closer to them, while BB will stay in the dust.

So... it now looks like the clear winner of the Nokia vs RIM battle of recovery are the Finns. Nokia have made great tech like wireless charging, extreme responsive touchscreen, great design (better than this Z10), more apps (WP vs BB) and no rip-offs like RIM have done. The Lumia 920 is a top-class handset.

BlackBerry is done. BlackBerry OS is the next Symbian. Its death will surely come in the next 2 years.

CarusDave, 28 Jan 2013The larger top/bottom bezels are used for the gestures, hence no home buttonThe sides of the bezel are also used for gestures.

When people say it looks like iphone what did they expect a triangle-shape phone?

Enough with this iphone and that iphone.

It's not stunning with these thick bezels and respectively not efficient space usage

I see another courtroom battle. Since apple claims any phone that has a rectangular shape with rounded edges is its own design. The last thing RIM would ever want is a patent battle.
