It's fun to see our currency written as INR. Anyways, the brand is an upcoming brand, but isn't quite up there. Micromax is leading by far. Quality is so much different between both these companies.

Terry Liew, 29 Jan 2013I have seen people comment about "it is China made phone again. Sigh". Then don't... moreNot only iphones but about more than half of the electronics component manufacturing is based in china.
I think what people mean is that unlike apple, nokia which outsource the manufacturing, assembling to chinese based firms, brands like karbonn, micromax just ask for rebranding a particular handset and then sell it under their brand name.
That being said i'd like to see Indian makers bring the manufacturing back in India.

It runs on the Qualcomm S4 Play chipset, with the Adreno 203 GPU. The four cores are the slow Cortex A5 ones.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013Can you prove its a quallcom? I doubt it, even a dualcore quallcom would be hard to fit in a p... morecan't prove it but I've read it on a few Indian blogs, and being a phone from an Indian manufacturer, I assume this won't be a mistake.
anyways, whatever it may be, it definitely is not gonna be a a strong performer, which I'm guessing as it's video recording is reported to max out at 720p even for a quad-core phone.
also, the presence of a sub-par gpu in the form adreno 203 will not enhance gaming experience.
It gives the impression that if it is indeed a qualcomm chip, it is gonna be of an even worse class than the mediatek's on mmx canvas hd.

I doubt it, even a dualcore quallcom would be hard to fit in a p... moreThough there r doubts over it i can't see why there can not be a qualcom soc on this.karbonn had also revealed a21 previously @ around 8 - 9 k INR with a dual core s4 play cpu.and this a cortex a5 based quad core cpu made using old 45 nm silicon so don't think it would be that costly.u can very much get a qualcom cpu @ this price from a white box maker.
Even if it's a 4x cortex a7 mediatek,it's alright.just luk at the pricetag.it obviously won't be a benchmark winner but would do just fine for it's category.
Meanwhile wikipedia say it's s4 play.
