also a bummer the lack of midpoint stand hold and lack of wireless charging and lack of under-screen fingerprint..
a big plus for the thinness (IMO very important) and it does look nice, also big plus for no pinhole camera on the main screen.. its a foldable so you can use the main shooters for better results.
Its a tad over 1300US in China MSRP and I reckon we will see it under 1grand when it ain't that new anymore.
we usually see big price reductions for Xiaomi high-end phones.. Mi Ultra11 CN MSRP 950 US and now going for 620US and that's even for western buyers, so the wholesale is even lower..
and the older Mix Fold had a CN MSRP at 1500 US and Xiaomi slashed that to 1000 US so 500 reduction and western buyers can get the Mix FOLD1 at 1000 US so wholesale price again lower..
when Mix FOLD 2 is around 1 grand..i would take the plunge, as Xiaomi has done many things right with this unit..
FOLD4 and FLIP4 c'mon Samsung... weak sauce for 2022..

There's extreme censorship in China on anything remotely socioeconomical but I don't think it's that bad on something like the quality of electronics. Even though they could delete feedback on Taobao etc.(I have no doubt about that)I don't think they have control over Weibo etc.

Shouldn't it be 11,2mm EXCLUDING the camera bump?! Because 5,4*2=10,8mm so the camera bump would only be 0,4mm and it definitely looks thicker than that. And even though marketing likes to pretend there is a "zero gap" there is still a tiny barely visible gap between the sides that could very well be half a mill. It wouldn't be the first time chinese OEMs lie about their specs 🤷♂️ and I really don't see why they should because the phone looks extremely impressive as is and they could still be very proud of their achievement.

Basically you can´t immerse that phone on any chlorinated or salted water areas...even drowning in fresh water are not covered in warranty after 3 months of usage...so I lost my investment and said: "SAMSUNG NO MORE!!!!!..."
