personally i dont care. as Samsung is the market. and they will show apple big time how its done
A lot of fanboys/girls comments going on in there... I have bought all SGS since the 1st one, not because of being a fanboy, but just because they were the best all-around each year.
Parts may be coming from Sony, Sharp and whatever, what really matters is the final product in your hand for your daily usage.
Samsung has built its popularity while maintaining some constants in their Galaxy range despite critics from geeks (us, whoever people is commenting/reading here), which don't really affect sales since Mr and Mrs John/Jane are representing the market mostly.
Personnaly, i have been (and still am) able to test most of brands. I won't enter those stupid time consuming debates, but i think it's wiser to wait for most of 2013 flagships to come out before praising a phone or another, or simply choosing one.
I don't know what S4 will be able to do or not, but based on SGS evolution, it's not all about tech being added for Samsung, it's about a whole "stock-rom" phone experience: -raising phone to your ear for automatically call, feeling a quick vibration when grabbing your phone screen off for telling you you have missed events (even vocally if you enable car-mdeo trick), customisable unlock screen with icons / RSS, call blocking / events filtering by schedule, advanced multimedia capabilities (zooming while watching a video, capturing a photo from a video), dual app viewing, advanced photo/video rec capabilities (you know them, let's add voice capturing which is still not common or photo snapping while recording video),touchwizz magic (fast calling thanks to slides, zoom/unzoom to reach apps quicker, fast apps-page searching etc.. to name a few that many don't know), samsung apps market (which still worths it since you can get a few full apps for free every months), they were the 1st to introduce trace typing to mass market with Swype. The list can go on, but i'm not promoting or working for them, but to sum up, compare any Galaxy settings menus to any from other brands. None matches it with a stock rom.
For those who intend to reply "but my xx Dupa2014phone can do that, or the soon-to-be will do it better", yes you are right. But you are LATE. Samsung understood one thing that Apple was used to do : watching opponents, gather the best features and add new ones too, not just pick a few and drop others like too many are doing every year.
Now, it's Apple playing catchup for features, thanks to other brands "inspiring them", they can keep their place and still wow the mass.
People here are now comparing a S3 with phones "coming" to the market. They were the same one criticizing the S3 last year while we, buyers, were already enjoying those stuff.
To finish, for example, i can still live without IP57 certification: i own a Moto Defy+ for 1 year, which is IP67 and i don't brag about it to my friends even if they say it's a cool phone. Cool it has it, but i don't go to the beach every day.. Like many people, i'll just be more picky about what other useful things or at least appealing, the SMARTphone can do which is the most important imo.
techlover1, 15 Feb 2013I hope that Samsung really produce 100 million galaxy s4!,but Samsung must really work harder ... moreThe competition is nothing that samsung is worried about, everyone is trailing behind them and making products like them.
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013Then that is the fundamental difference between Apple and Samsung then, isn't it? The public'... moreHaters gonna hate!!

Interesting one about the family's internal politics:
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013Then that is the fundamental difference between Apple and Samsung then, isn't it? The public'... moreHmmm... I see... although not influential but itís worth to know that tooÖ not something that I was aware of until nowÖ nevertheless can you please post a link or URL so that I can get a heads up on the complete news sir?
Damien Lord, 15 Feb 2013No Sir! I donít vehemently defend Samsung but Iím not engrossed with the news of the corruptio... moreThen that is the fundamental difference between Apple and Samsung then, isn't it? The public's goodwill to a company is also a determining factor in their purchasing habits. That's why companies pay so much for PR and marketing folks. If folks are getting angry at Apple because of a patent dispute, imagine what they would think about Samsung for their corruption and price fixing. Samsung's indiscretions have benefited from it being a Korean company and most readers don't pay attention to Korean news. People here are still talking about what Steve Jobs said here years ago. Could you imagine if he was convicted of a crime?
Samsung Electronics is a direct beneficiary of the the Samsung Group's actions. So yes, this is relevant to the company.
BTW, don't fall for their marketing. Be practical and put your thinking hat on. They never mention a time frame for this. What is the frame of reference? Are they counting two years? Three? Does this include the inevitable rehashing of the GS4 as the GS4 Pro(or whatever they decide to call it)? You have to read the fine print and go beyond the PR release to see how companies are manipulating customers.
[deleted post]For real it's bean a long time that we not here about Apple exept for there bug recentely.
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013So, in other words, you have nothing to refute Samsung's record of corruption over the years. ... morenope, all they care is the new shiny big next(actual) thing called s4, along with its followers: +/mini/grand/pop/premier/fame...they don't really care how it's made as long as samy markets it as their own "innovation"...
abcxyz, 15 Feb 2013Are you kidding??Sony makes the best camera,ALSO FOR SAMSUNG.And 13mp. so no kidding.Snapdrago... moreWe have an app in adroid call (FPSE) it's a PS1 emulator i use it almust everyday to play FF7 and Metal gears 1 on My S3. Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013So, in other words, you have nothing to refute Samsung's record of corruption over the years. ... moreNo Sir! I donít vehemently defend Samsung but Iím not engrossed with the news of the corruption happening in Korea, even itís by Samsung. Iím not naïve but my justification is over Samsung Mobiles and not the company as whole. I do love my MacBook indisputably but itís on the subject of comparing Apple, other OEMS and Samsung Smartphones!
Damien Lord, 15 Feb 2013Well, a conversation should continue here in order to prove what is right and not for the reas... moreSo, in other words, you have nothing to refute Samsung's record of corruption over the years. Must be nice to be so naive about the company you so vehemently defend.
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2013Don't forget about Samsung's use of institutionalized corruption and systematic protectionism ... moreUnfortunately, I donít read Korean papers and I really donít worry about that either. As long as Samsung brings first-rate, well actually, superior devices from their preceding flagships people are going to buy it. Are we not here to mention the monopoly over rounded corners? Affirmatively NO!
meanwhile in cupertino, the patent holder for the rounded rectangle:

Espe... moreWell, a conversation should continue here in order to prove what is right and not for the reason that Iím right! Thatís more like a dispute Sir! Iím only trying to be as candid as I can rather than sounding dim or does it makes sense now to call it TIM? The iBlinds will never realize this. So yah, whatever, you called it quitsÖ
Damien Lord, 15 Feb 2013Exactly... the iFans and fanboys from other OEMS are make it even more popular...Don't forget about Samsung's use of institutionalized corruption and systematic protectionism in their home market too.
Bunyip, 15 Feb 2013Is your name Tim Cook? Great retort /s. Having a conversation with Samsung fanboys is an exercise in futility. Especially when they have nothing to dispute the ugly truth.
abcxyz, 15 Feb 2013Are you kidding??Sony makes the best camera,ALSO FOR SAMSUNG.And 13mp. so no kidding.Snapdrago... moresony is not making the best optimized camera...!!! shut up! do ur own comparison in gsmarenas photo compare tool, have the gs3 and use any xperia phones as a comparison, u cant deny d superior details and less noise of gs3.. smsung uses sony's lens but they know how to use it will with great optimization! that means sammy knows how to build their hardwares and especially their SOFTWARE! thats why many love smart feat of touchwiz and spen and the superAmoled
audio quality?? lets take gs3 vs sony xperia T, accdg to android authority review, audio quality of gs3 is better than T.. audio of gs3 offers 7-band equalizer with other equalizer settings compared to the 5-band equalizer of walkman...
