N_i_d_e_r, 01 Aug 2008This is for all "SE FANATIC" just like ME! Lets face it, the battle between N0KIA and SE is O... moreSamsung is not exactly challenging Nokia because nokia own symbian. If a symbian handset sells well, then Nokia automatically profit. If samsung was using a different OS other than symbian then it would be a direct competitor to Nokia and Symbian. (e.g Windows, Linux, Macintosh).
As for which is better between symbian and Windows, I would say symbian because of the following reasons:
1. Symbian does not require as much processing power as Windows.
2. Symbian does not drain the battery as much as Windows.
3. Symbian is easier to learn (for a new user) as compared to Windows.
As for functionality, they are basically the same; i dont see any other differences.

This is for all "SE FANATIC" just like ME!
Lets face it, the battle between N0KIA and SE is OVER!
SE lost their TRACK fr0m n0where, and i think g0in back fr0m where they STARTED...
While N0KIA is on the FIRST PLACE and still UnBeatable...
But the battle is n0t yet 0VER, its n0w time for SAMSUNG to CHALLENGE the GREATEST 0PP0NET...

          About brand fans:
people who Apple iPhone can say there opinion and we respect that but Nokia said this is mid-range phone while Apple iPhone is high-end phone and Nokia said there will be high-end phones with touch screen so u we will be up to date and compare the iPhone with high-end phone touch screen from Nokia...also the 5xxx series from Nokia dont has any real Flagship...flagships always are N9x and E9x. for business.

People who use Samsung...your phones are nice and comparing it with Nokia is useless..Samsung now use the opened source (newly opened) Symbian which Nokia own..the same os which is simply the best..Samsung made java pones??..Nokia too...Samsung made WM Phones and its for business and compare it with Nokia communicator not with 5800 for music...

People use other phones can say everything but SE...SE cut 2000 of its workers to overcome the lose last 3 months...dont trust that?...google it...and stop the ugly comments and let us say something useful.

How much does Se pay you for patronizing their products? See its a matter of choice. While there are people who like SE phones, similarly there are people who like Nokia phones.

A mid range? Well it should be is. Since it only use symbian. And guys, why are u worship these nokia toys? How much nokia pays you? They are expensive compared to the features u can get. Honestly, i still get SE music is much2 better than this 'expres music'. You guys are perfect in wasting money. And there is no follower in technology, there is only development. So there is only wil be a creative developer like apple, SE...
But nokia? It only good at its cover design, the rest is only expensiveness and standard feature.

When Apple add MMS, more than 2MP camera with flash, Java and Flash support, multitasking, worldwide support and no stupid contracts, Bluetooth file sharing and A2DP support, more than 16GB of internal memory or expansion bay, 3G video calling, and open source OS to its beloved and "ultrapowered" iPhone they can equal Nokia... But we know that it doesn't the Steve Jobs interest (read: make a lot of cash using the multimedia and now applications market called iTunes)... Not obstant, the 5800 doesn't have my interest, i will continue to using my N82...

I noticed this coming out... and not really surprised that its release at mid-level. I heard a rumour that even they are releasing a touch type phone it will not be on the high end side. The high end would probably come out much later with a higher px cam and more capabilities. I'm waiting for the 2 release for nokia's touch type phone and how it fair with the others.

Why Nokia don't put it in the Nseries line up..? It fits there rather than in Xpress Music.

being classified as "mid range" surely it will be alot lesser than Iphones price no? and if it is alot lesser apple may be forced to lower their price on iphone because this thing may have the potential of overpowering the iphone feature per feature screen per screen...^_^
