The Apple A13-Bionic is in the same family class as the A14, A15, and A16.
They've been so far ahead of Snapdragon and Exynos, that they've stagnated their product. Apple was going to introduce their next-gen architecture this year in the iPhone 14, but delays at TSMC meant they couldn't fulfil the order (tens of millions). That's why we got a slight refresh of the A15, an overclock, to get the A16.
The Apple M1 was built on that same family of chipsets. The M2 likewise is a slight refinement of the M1, so I'm not particularly interested in what they have to offer this year or the next. Hopefully, Apple will shift some importance to their Mac lineup, but with the stagnation from Intel I'm not too hopeful.
We will probably see this next-gen family be built with ARMv9 certification, and after the A17 release in September 2023... we will hopefully get a MacBook Pro with the M3/Pro/Max chipset in March 2024. Which feels like a longtime away, the original M1 came out in 2020, the M1 Pro/Max came out in 2021, and the M1 Ultra came out in 2022. So now is probably a good time to buy an (M1 Max/Ultra) MacBook Pro or Studio, as the wait for them will be decently lengthy.

scaling back, slow to invent. a sign of the times, and democrats voted for the coming collpase.
There are plenty of products they can fill an event with, new iPad Pro, new entry level iPad, new Apple TV and new Mac Mini.

Sure, Apple pours billions into R&D so your argument kinda still stands, but like, love the product, not the company.
Even Apple thinks their products are too iterative and boring to talk much about. Tough time being a tech reviewer, yawn.
