I called this way back in Sept or October of last year. HTC has made a mistake to price there devices so high but mostly not give Android Users what they want.
An HTC NEXUS phone would have propelled this Company back to the for front and right behind Samsungs tail.
Unfortunately HTC is too narrow minded to see this and so now they will slowly try to recapture the market.
A Nexus Device goes a LONG WAY to make you a market player. Just ask SAMSUNG and LG.
A.B., 07 Mar 2013No microsd card slot? no sale!
HTC, you're not Apple!!I agreed with you.
For those who tried to be Apple will end up with business declining such as Sony.
Only Apple has privilege to sell its products at premium price because there is no competitor for iOS.
Again I want to remind HTC and Sony don't fall into Apple's trap.
From my experience working in a phone shop environment for almost 4 years now HTC have truly let themselves down. I generally thought when they started to come into the main market that they would be Apples biggest threat. My god I was wrong!
After having an iPhone 3GS I went into the HTC Sensation which wasn't sensational at all, excuse the pun. The software to start was awful and extremely slow, along with a pathetic battery life. I had to buy a bigger battery which improved this issue but it still left me with a frustratingly slow performing 'smartphone'. I even went on to flash the whole software so I could get rid of all the HTC stuff on it and replace it with someone else's. This was the best thing I ever did with that phone!
I am now back with apple and I don't think I'd ever get anything different. Everything about iPhone is a hundred times better including their customer support! It annoys me how stupid and ignorant company's are who don't offer quality customer service. It is what will keep customers with you or be the reason why they are not, and with HTC is was bloody ridiculous. Why do they not listen to customers? No wonder why their sales are continuously dropping!
I'm certainly not Apples biggest fan but personally they make incredible phones and provide the best customer support in the industry. If you have a problem 9 times out of 10 they'll fix it on the day, no interrogation, no proof of purchase rubbish, they know when you bought it and know how long you have left in warrantee. Although they will always try to help how ever long you've had it for.
HTC need to quickly up their game with reliable software and much improved customer care! Mr CEO, stop farting about and get on with making things better.
the htc one x problems harmed the company reputation so much with the price i buy the phone 600 i could now buy to of Samsung GSII in my country iraq i'm from the biggest fan for htc since HD2 but i get shocked when my htc one x doesn't last longer than 6 months and that's because the screen issue and when i went to repair shop the told me the screen is a manufacturing issue and must be replaced and that will cost me other 200$ i turned back and thing again before i spend more money in a worthless peace and i think a should change the company and try others.. that's so sad cause every body near my buy a htc was with a device from me and when they saw me turned back they will do so 800$ i allot money in my country im sorry htc u should make sure of ur quality before revealing a new product and take people money and losing their faith in u>>
do what Samsung does.
realese phones with unlocked bootloaders
make fast updates with as mane marketing features possible
reduce prices (especially in Greece HTC One X 16gb 699 when it started selling.)
Better service in service centers.
after mar 14 all phone makers go back 2 home bcoz there is only one warrior from then on
Dara, 07 Mar 2013Because HTC believes that its customers are silly, so it releases very limited feature product... moreI want Htc to succeed. Htc sud start listening to customers.for better battery capacity, sd card slot with large internal memory and no ultrapixel
You haters will hate of course... but wait till you get your hands wrapped around this piece of art you'll shut up and be amazed ;)that's a promise.
What else a company does better than that.... continue producing gr8 phones better thn any other companies... but
India is a major market for hTc and they have priced their devices at exorbidant rates in here. The Butterfly is priced at 460000Rs. which is approximately double than that of Galaxy S III[Rs.28000].It doesn't make any sense as you are not gonna get double feaures. All that you pay is for 1 GIGS of ram and a FHD display.Come on hTc!This may be the real culprit for hTc's down market share.
htc how about bringing down the prices on the butterfly and the htc one i think you guys can do alot better they are awesome phones i love htc, work with me here.i'm confused between the htc one and butterfly the choices are too good.
i want to tell u (who saying htc one has 4mp camera only) that, there is 4mp camera in htc one, which using ultra pixels other than normal pixels. means that, it is almost 3 times greater than the picture taken by normal 12mp camera.
ie, it is same as nokia 808 pure view camera when consider the picture size...
I don't believe sd cards slots or removable batteries would have any bearing on HTC's fortunes - look at the iPhone.
We're posting and commenting on this phone and what we'd like to see because we love tech, and we're picky about what we want. In reality, we make-up a tiny, tiny fraction of the market. My wife, dad, mum etc have no interest in expandable memory or removable battery - They see the latest Samsung or iPhone advertised on TV with its big shiny screen and they want it.
I can't speak for the world, but I can speak for the UK and northern and eastern Europe when I say that marketing for HTC handsets is virtually non-existent. Yet TV ads for the S3 are still regularly running.
Agree with Alexassi, non-removable battery has disadvantages, when battery goes wrong, there will be a very harsh impact to the phone. Some countries decided to study whether they should ban the bad battery that is non-removable and causing pollution. When the battery leaks, it's toxic to the environment.
1) ....i think htc needs 2 read all the comments in this forum to make changes .they sud make sd card slot to give CHEAP memory expansion .look at galaxy series s2 ,s3,note 1, note 2 by doing that they can reduce the price of the device a little
2) and i know that mp does not make a huge difference But if they wud have made a 8 mp ultrapixal cam (it wud have also justified the price of htc one ) for better day light photos i wud have considered the htc one .....
3)i am ok with the non removable back cover (to get the unibody)cause u get lots of battery banks which can charge the phone as well as work as extra battery and can fit it on the phone as well so non removable battery is not a issue here....but htc if u can still give that feature without compromising the build quality like samsung ,lg,nokia etc it will always be a welcome ...feature..
Anonymous, 06 Mar 2013"bigger and removable ears, Mr. Chou"LOL..:D :D :D
Please hold my hand, cause I just can't stop laughing :))))
rafe firmani, 07 Mar 2013point 5. Because they addressed the issue with Butterfly tiny battery, that why HTC One have b... more"IT is flagship phone afterall. Are they losing their mind to put 4MP??"
So afterall u agree that they need to GROOOOWW UPPP..not me.
HTC one should have a fantastic design such as:
1) memory expansion slot (64GB) keep the sizing of internal ROM as 32 or 64 for options
2) instead of 4 ultra megapixels, why not a raging 5 ultra mega pixels
3) longer Battery stamina or larger mah - 3000...perhaps..?
4) water resistance which is added advantage
After all, even if it's pricey, more people will still crazy for this gadgets... even meteors are falling down, people are still crazy marching to buy it.
