jaypee1991, 21 Mar 2013sony always have sudden death... SAMSUNG forever!!!!Guess u have never touched a Sony device ever to experience what real quality is, and by that I'm not only talking about phones here. U trolls are so dumb with ur remarks yet still talk proudly of Samdung when most of their phones experience much of the same thing. Trust that Sony will sort this issue out ASAP to shut u trolls up.
Nowadays people simply can't accept the fact that a 0.05% manufacturing/designing/whatever fault is within the QC limit.
What's the fuss about it? Not like other phones are 100% problem free.
the battery wears out very fast and the phone gets shut down frequently.sony have to find a way to solve the promblems.i have been using the phone only for 3 months and it have never fallen on the ground.this is a serious prombled.its better everyone doesn't buy this phone
zoldik, 22 Mar 2013Funny people It's not only sony smart phone that suffer from sudden death. Iphone and Samsun... more"when the people talking about you,it means you are growing and geting famous"...
It's not only sony smart phone that suffer from sudden death.
Iphone and Samsung too, but people don't care/ don't talk about it so loudly. but if it sony u shout loudly "CHEAP PHONE"
Another issue with the Xperia Z is the pre-assembled screen protector. The screen protector degrades the actual screen quality.
Jayime, 21 Mar 2013Just a note, i misread this article but also found the solution:
I just thought the battery... moreI got xperia s and i don't have any problem.
I always do what you did on your xperia z, i held the up volume button and the power button and it restart your phone, i do this once a week.
Some say that the sudden death occurs when the phone hears the phrase "Samsung Galaxy S4" and users that tried to type in their browser the same three words had the exact same problem, be careful Sony fans some of your manufacturer fears just found their way to your phones.Just kiddin!!! Its a common thing for Sony to sabotage their own devices. Its a shame for those who spend a fortune to buy it and as always the first and the breaviest are the ones who get scr***d. Well done Sony when it comes to tradition you are a hell of a keeper
no wonder XZ is waterproof it needs water to survive! poor device.. :(
I about to buy these phone, suddenly read these article, and it will be never change my mind,
Because, when I'm using Blackberry, Samsung, even Iphone, they will suddent death after a few month usage... don't worry of these thing, it was normally happen and gonna be solved.
And in my opinion, please dont make some rubbish opinion, like you are pro in mobile phone... be wise.
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2013Half of you make it sound like Samsung never had a sudden death problem. http://www.droid-l... morethis phone should have been a fault resistant too, because sony has been advertising its water and dust resistant, then how can sony prove these features wherein the unit itself has a fault on the fist place.
Lol, if it happens, it happens. Like the article said, it happened to some users, not all. Not sure if all Sony users are this stupid
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2013Someone from my office has already the Xperia Z and after a couple of days it has a nasty long... moreThe xperia z has a factory screen protector. Thats what has scratched. The actual screen has not.

First, you haters need to READ.
Do you guys even know what "SOME" means? don't take it as a whole. Some owners of this phone who are not experiencing this sudden death are lucky. And i feel pity for those who are unfortunate to experience this problem.
as most people say, it's not ONLY Sony who is experiecing this kind of problem.. most of the smart phones too and samsung is not even an exception. No phone is perfect! As long as these manufacturers addresses and fixes this problem, then everything should be fine.
