8 mega pixels is pointless in a phone. The more mega pixels does not mean better picture quality. Its also down to lens quality light sensors image processer inside and a number of other factors. Plus optical zoom. The problem with higher pixels in a small device like a phone is it makes it harder for the small sensor to cope with the higher resolution. Thus meaning more smearing and picture noise. Higher mega pixels is only really needed for bigger prints. Pointless. Five mega pixels is plenty. Thats what i hate the mega pixel race is just to get customers to spend more.

Who needs 8 mega pixels in a mobile anyway. 5 is enough for me. Nokia will come up trumps with something soon you can be sure of that. Its why they still are the biggest in the world cos they always come up with something everyone wants. They wont rush their 8 mega pixel. If they release it after SE and Samsungs models then all attention will be on Nokia model not the others. Just wait they will come up with a cracker. Trust me.

Keep Chillin Homies!!!!!!

1.- the N96 have 16gb of internal memory and a micro SD slot(to much big memory)
2.- the dvb-h tv receiver
thats are the reasons for make the N96 better...
are god reasons...

Nokia are very smart! why announce an 8MP phone when i'm sure is in the works and still not release 3 5MP phones?? N96, N85, and N79 are yet to come out, till they are ALL OUT, a 8MP Nokia MONSTER will show its face; it's a marketing strategy nothing more, nothing less :) bravo Nokia

SO thats it for the N7x series,
we got: N70,N71,N72,M73..N75,N76,N77,N78 and now N79. Now unless Nokia makes a N74 this is it for the 7 series.
You know i love the New Nseries look, the N81 look i just bought the N78 cause of its major price drop and i'm am so looking forword to the N96 i just can't wait anymore so i got the N78 but i don get the N85!!! what nokia i like the N96 better!! why can't you give that!! and N85 is amazing man, FM transmitter, Music qualtiy must be amazing its got a better battery life...come on man why you playing with us, keep chillin homies!!!!!!

Even Nokiablog is saying the 5 reasons the N85 is better than the N96,1. the battery last longer 2.you can charge you phone using the data cable when connected to the pc or laptop you are using 3. the screens alot better 4. the Fm transmitter on the N85 5.the phones alot cheaper as well ,so the N96 will be alot of wasted time an money as the price of the N96 will be dropping down that quick to get people to sign up for it as the N85 is a much better phone to buy

These devices now complete the N-Series line-up for this year, and highlight that as each of them is overall a perfectly capable all-rounder it is very difficult to view each one as solely a solution for imaging (N82), video (N96, N85), etc. Also, worthy alternatives to these devices exist within Nokia's product portfolio, particularly the E-Series, and the 6220. All this choice is good news.
