Recently learn that ANSI Lumens and regular lumens are 2 different brightness measurements. A 500 lumen machine is average brightness but 500 ANSI Lumens are very bright. It seems to only applies to projector but unsure if other light emitting electronics like flashlights also applies this measurements.

I bought the WEMAX when it was on sale for $99. What a great deal! At half the cost, this small projector outperforms several of my others.
The software options are lacking, and there's no zoom in/out feature, but still a great projector for that $99 sale price.
Why are GSMarena even reviewing these shitboxes? Its not the first time. Bad picture, bad sound, low battery life, high price tag. I tested similar model and returned it immediately, because you need complete darkness and super smooth, white surface. You can see how bad it goes in this review pictures. And in summer, its unusable outdoors. Ok, maybe few nights a month are dark enough to use it. 100% gimmick.
I just checked on their website and is a promotion at $249 for a few days. At this price is a good deal probably. Yet, the 960*540P resolution is a NO go for me.
Otherwise, at $400, you wait for a promotion like Black Friday and you get the The Freestyle from SAMSUNG with 1920 x 1080 resolution. You can use this devices only in the dark.

For US $400, I think the Xgimi Mogo 2 (the non-Pro) is a better bargain, at least on paper. Altogether, I'm happy you are now reviewing portable projectors and doing your own tests and not just repeating the manufacturer's claims. May be create a dedicated link/place for projectors here, I'd love to be finding these reviews easily. While at it could you kindly consider a head to head detailed review/comparison between the Formovie s5 vs the Mogo 2 pro. Thank you

540p - pretty useless
would be sharper enough if they use 1280x720 resolution, and also, its a nice thing that it has 3.5mm jack, so you can power this with large, better sounding speaker.
wow it is more portable
