I make a request to Motorola Mobility LLC., regarding to the Android Nougat update for Moto G (3rd Gen.) I don't think Moto G (3rd Gen.) Doesn't have enough specs to run Android Nougat smoothly. I think if Motorola runs a soak test on this device, it'll probably go down well, just when it did for Moto E for Lollipop. If anyone's device does brick, they can always go back to Android Marshmallow right?

Z1 Compact isn't compact at all.. It is huge compared to my Xperia Ray phone. Then only disadvantage of Ray is 512 Mb RAM size that is too small now for good GPS navigation.
The size of Ray is nearly perfect. It's battery runs for 3 days of medium usage. 3.3" screen is enough for navigation - 3.5" would be better of cause, but only if size of the phone remains the same.
I don't need 4" at all. I need compact size, good battery, LTE and fast enough CPU+RAM.

I partially agree with this statement. Having the Nexus 7, I'd also opt for a sub-five-inch phone. But we don't need such high-end, benchmark-topping processors. 2.2 GHZ is already overwhelming, let alone multi-core processors.

What I will petition for is for Android developers to 'smoothen' their programs so that they won't get laggy or be enough for mid-range processors to handle their programs without lag. Next, it will be better if battery life's not compromised with size and the way the device consumes energy, just like what Google did with Moto X. I don't get most of Americans; Moto X is a very efficient SMARTPHONE and they are blinded by benchmark tests, 'numbers game' involving processors and other hype and marketing bullshit that they overlook other phones that are worth almost every buck.

If a petition can't get 25,000 signatures, over a 3 month period, i doubt its worth it at all.

This is ridiculous. You don't need high power in a small screen device: for what? you don't want 1080p on a 4 inch device! Buy a Galaxy S4 mini -- your problems are solved.

Market demand speaks for itself: S4, One, Z have been selling like hot cakes. Even Note series. Manufacturers put their money on what sells, not on the rather whimsical ideology of a tech site.

OH and, i will not settle for anything with less screen size than my S4!

what's the purpose for going for big ones. if u need big go for tab or lap. don't expect such things in smartphones. manufacturer's should also take a note of it. they are killing the market and making consumers fool. eg: Samsung revealed galaxy grand, galaxy mega, galaxy s4, galaxy note2, and so on. each phone crosses 5" screen the only differance is hardware and display. all seems similar in terms of shape and look.

For the aging society around the world, a whole new bigger iPhone should be created. Lots of aging Apple fans might need to turn to Android systems, just because they offer bigger-size screen smartphones.........

I didn't know about this effort. Thank you gsmarena for it!!! My reason:

Seriously, WTF cellphone manufacturers?! This is what constitutes mini today: a 4.3" screen phone (SGS4 mini). WTF??? I remember using the first samsung galaxy. It was the Captivate and to me that was the biggest that a phone should get to be, little did I know that manufacturers would go way beyond that, touting the next Nexys phone at 5.5" (which I expect that to be some kind of joke). I found an incredibly cheap deal on a SGS3 phone and bought it thinking that I could get used to its size but I was very wrong and now the fact that I can't comfortably use it with one hand is the reason why I want to get rid of it. So far the trend has been that once the flagship phone size is updated the "mini" version gets updated too but enough of that! If the SGS5 has a 5.5" screen should we expect a 4.8" device and consider it "mini"???

I will probably get one of this SGS4 mini phones eventually (or around its size). But that's enough manufacturers! Don't bulk up your minis any more than that or there won't be any minis left for people like me!

Sony (or anyone) should come up with a Xperia ZL mini. Just the same compactness with a 4.3" screen (unlike the ZL, which has a 5.0" screen).

Why doesn't anyone of them make a 4.0"-4.3" high-end device, it would be a nice competitor to the iPhone 5 also, and apparently there are a lot of people who would be interested in such a phone.

An High-end device that looks nice and is compact (ex. 116mm x 61mm should be possible for a compact 4.3" phone), I'm still waiting for it!

This is a step in the right direction.

Come on, when are they going to stop making smartphones bigger? When they're as big as your front door?

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2013A petition to who? Use the gsmarena phone finder. There are plenty of smaller androids that ar... morethe One S is an awesome phone, no doubt. It's powerfull, beautyful and not too big. But I'll have to check benchmarks to see if iPhone 4S and 5 aren't better than One S. If so, you're just and Apple hater. And this petition is for high-end small phones, i.e, quad almost 2GHz krait S4 800 2GB ram and HD screen (at least 350ppi). One S is anywhere near that.
