Still a Nokia Lover, 25 Apr 2013Dear Samsung, Please start selling Jeans, which can hold ur smart phones.Lumia 920 is wider, taller, thicker and heavier even though it has a smaller screen. Which is weird because they're both made out of polycarbonate.
It shows even the King of Android aint perfect hey guys the HTC ONE and BBZ10 were delayed
Common_636, 25 Apr 2013You do realize the Lumia 920, is both wider and thicker than this phone? And heavier.

You wouldn't want a phone that is 30g heavier just because you fancy feeling some metal in your hand. Also they are getting hotter under stress because of heat conduction, are bigger, thicker and more prone to damage on impact. That's why there are not so many metal phones, because you sacrifice everything just because of some silly prejudice that it's more solid that you probably learned while playing with metal toys and cheap chinese plastic ones when you were a kid. Polycarbonate on phones reminds you of that cheap plastic because it looks similar, but in fact it's simply a better material for phones and phone companies are not using it just because they fancy so for no reason whatsoever. They just have their facts straight. And it's not because of costs as well - 10$ on material costs wouldn't make a difference on a 500$+ phone if it was a better choice.
I'm a tech fan. Also, last I checked most of the metal phones are basically running Android.

What a stupid thing to say. Obviously an android fan.

Pieces of crap liars against their competition. Can't fight fair. Remind you of anyone.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2013who have you got yours ordered withThree, uk mate
Please start selling Jeans, which can hold ur smart phones.
I honestly do not understand some persons on this site. Any other manufacture other than Samsung that is delayed because of the high demand, praises and glory would have been given, but because it is Samsung, they are liars. If memory serves correct, Samsung has never in the past lied and delayed shipments to make "hype"
I say congrats to Sammy. and also, Good luck to the other manufactures and hope that their devices meets their set margin of sales
yan, 25 Apr 2013i also find this hard to believe, since i have friends who also work in other phone companies ... moreJust off the phone to Vodafone UK who say the device will be delayed by at least a week.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2013You've missed the point.
Look, I agree that there's nothing wrong in the use of plastic cas... moreMetal does add some visual candy for some people but they don't add protection. Quite the opposite. They are harder and make the whole phone heavier, thus making impacts potentially more deadly.
It's easier to make thin and durable polycarbonate than metal.
This is also the reason why critical airplane parts are made of polycarbonate and not metals.
It was pretty hard to get an sgs3 in the 1st week after launch if you haven't preordered. The same or even worst is gonna happen with sgs4 given the demand is much higher. So no surprises.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2013uk has been pushed back aswellmines coming tomorrow
I don't like samsung designs either, but this "cheap plastic" thing is just annoying. I mean, almost every cellphone around the world is made of PLASTIC.
We use plastic every day, even freaking cars have plastic parts.
So just drop it with "cheap plastic" thing, it's boring, lame and plain stupid kind of response.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2013uk has been pushed back aswellit has not been pushed back mate, but there is a shortage of initial stocks, all stores where I live (Stirling)(6 stores) have sold out, but will be available from tomorrow, its basically a first come first served basis with those who pre-ordered getting priority. I had a call from my store telling me mine will be available to collect from 9am tomorrow morning.
