I hope HTC will sale The One big time! Samsung is asking way to much for the bad quality!

If you think im lying, get your sis, mother, dad or friends to test both out and i guarantee they wont mention lag.
And if the 0.5 second lag is an issue for you, there are plenty of smooth launchers in the market, with Nova launcher as my favourite, or just remove samsung widgets such as the music/games hub.

Good point. Cheap plastic making company Samsung. Now a days lot of functions available on very low cost Chinese's cell. We need both build quality with beautiful design and functions like HTC one and xperias. And please don't forgot about water proof I love it
Well the fans want a niche market with premium quality
We never wanted HTC to be a mass product like Samsung
UK htc users group.

- design (draw as people have different preferences)
- touch wiz vs sense (draw as people have different preference)
- screen (draw although in SG4 you can set an option to change the screen from saturated to a more natural colour.
- slightly better benchmark
- better battery consumption, htc 48hrs vs 63 hours SG4
- larger screen and still the same size as htc one, 5inch vs 4.7 inch
- more accessories to buy
- better history of software updates
- better build quality (look at HTC ONE and SG4 drop test)and plastic is less prone to scratches.
- Removable battery
- SD card support
- Futuristic features (air gestures and eye scroll)
- Alot more features although some are gimicky
- Better camera, although HTC ONE is probably better in low light
All im saying is that its not just the benchmark, that makes SG4 better than the rest... Feel free to comment
I really think that HTC One is much better than the S4. Even the Octa-core version has benchmark scores that are pretty similar to the HTC One's.
Therefore, S4 vs One is really a question of personal preference. HTC One has better UI and design and build quality while the S4 has the advantage of additional software.
if this device could have a 12-13 mp camera will be perfect for marketing and sales. the 4 mp camera is good anyway because are 4 mp in 16:9 native. it is like having a 6 mp camera in 4:3 and switch it in 16:9 mode. personally i shoot only 16:9 pictures and i always set from 12 mp in 4:3 to 9 mp in 16:9 and i simply do not understand why dedicated photocameras still have 4:3 sensors. 99% of users see the pictures on full hd display (wich have 2 mp resolution) or put the pictures on instagram or facebook. no one print picures on paper, only professionals or old farts
The major flaw in htc one's design is because of the speaker at bottom which together with the cap keys took more space than at the top, where there is only speaker/ear piece. So the screen is shifted away from the center of the phone. When you hold it horizontally it is quite visible. then u will feel the screen is fitted more toward one side of the phone. This really spoiled the beauty of the phone. This will make this phone feel outdated in design in a few years. This design also increased the length of this 4.7 inch screen phone, bigger than One X/One X+ which has also 4.7 inch screen. Now a days modern phones are built with the screen placed exactly at the center of the phone with minimum space (bezel) at the bottom and top which really will be a compact (smaller dimensions) and good looking phone for years.
M8, 29 Apr 2013plastic shmastic,,, the only plastic "polycarbonate" on sgs4 is the battery door.
I... moreWhen people say "plastic" they try to rationalize the feeling they get from the Galaxy series.
The Lumias are entirely made of "plastic" but they feel premium.
The Samsung feels cheaply made; but it's not *just* the materials that's inferior. The whole thing is inferior design-wise.
As long as people buy Galaxy phones regardless of quality and design, Samsung has no reason to change. People are perpetuating the bad quality of the product they use by blindly buying the cheap stuff Samsung makes.
The HTC guy must be confused by some idiotic reviewer such as those from The Verge for instance. Only those stylo cow from The Verge put so much emphasize on the design and built material of a phone. And they always get confused by the built material vs built quality issue. HTC have good built material but their phone QC & built quality is not that great. Many people who got their HTC One has reported sharp plastic edge & misaligned panel on their phone. Samsung phone, eventhough they use plastic for most of their phone, their product built quality is second to none.
plastic shmastic,,, the only plastic "polycarbonate" on sgs4 is the battery door.
I've put my order in for the sgs4 exynos 5 octa and a silver brushed aluminium battery door,,,, perfect ;)
HTC One is indeed better looking, but if you look at drop tests from Youtube, you will see that HTC One is one hell of a mess, with parts of its so called "unibody" scattering all over (especially the speaker cover). Samsung S4 on the other hand, with its "plasticky" build, only gets a few scrathces on the body.
So i'd rather have a polycarbonate phone with a robust build, than a flimsy aluminum one.
"Pleased" with the reviews of HTC One?I guessed he skipped the camera part of those reviews because everyone said it's a fail camera. And how someone that commented before me said HTC will sell 2-3 millions units while Samsung S4 will sell 70-80 millions units at least. This guy should focus more on the thing that HTC lacks at all.And that is customer support.Everyone is complaining about their non-existent customer support.
for me only looks & build quality doesn't matter. After Sales support in terms of Hardware & Software, Resale Value, Top of the line Hardware & most important pricing of the device are key factor to choose the best Smartphone in the market.
I owned galaxy s2 and note1, they come and go and i havent any single problem with its plastic. All it gave me was the hardware and sofyware i desire! Currently own a galacy note2 and im so happy with, and now i cant wait for note 2
