Every person and every being on this world is from different dough.
We all are from different doughs. Different, shapes, likings, behavior.
What you dont like does not means rest of the people wont like it too.
We are not your clones and your arent a clone of them.
In other words you might not like but others would love.
Different people different tastes.
Unless you dont try you never know as repeatedly saying judge Jaroslav Slavik from Czechoslovakia got talent.
This is the same. When device will be sold globaly maybe will outsell everything else. Maybe not but in the end we will see the results.
At least i give em point for trying to be different in the sea of litterary same phones with same or simmilar designs.

Dont judge book by its cover. Why would anyone want it though? The purse part is pointless and outward foldables are already riskier in their design towards damage. It's going to be expensive and targeted at people obsessed with fashion rather than tech heads yet it's only got value in the tech head community. It's a strange marketing blend coupled with pointless design and no real benefit over other phones / foldables.
Me personally? I don't mind them trying something new, it's not worse than other phones (except maybe the risk of it's fragility) but it's just not better and it's not a real fashion piece so I wouldn't buy it for that. Maybe if someone was a chinese nationalist they might buy it out of pride but it's just not a thing elsewhere.

We need this design. It's much more futureproof than the book like one. And yeah managing to make the phone only be slimmer than many normal phones shows the power of this tech. It means that adding a 3rd fold would still make it slimmer than Galaxy fold (say). That would be huge. A phone that unfolds into a 10 inches (I.e. A5 size which is the most natural size for handheld information consumption).

I'm waiting in line to die laughing when these ultmately get dropped into puddles or whatever random bodies of water, or just get drenched under heavy rain. With China's track record for water resistance, these'll be fzzzzzzzzzt poof gone instantly. If they don't die to water, they'll die due to China tier garbage build quality within 6 months or so.
