BlackBerry's next business move: To build "BACK PANELS" and "CARRY POUCHES" for iPhones and Androids with BlackBerry logo on it.
Oh God..! I have to patent this idea otherwise Thorsten Heinz may copy it....
Good News..Good Moves!!
bst way to sty aliv..survival of de fittst!
bt BBM calld odr OS as outdatd bt hw coms BBM
Guys...I am trying to find a reason to buy Blackberry... Can any one help me with this?
the only reason to buy a blackberry over any other is for bbm and now they are giving that away
According to me this was not a smart move.
If rim had shifted their os to android and had they maintained their bbm services exclusive for bb phones, it would easily had been ground breaking.
Every phone maker would have felt the heat because a new bbm type messenger for any other mobile making company would have never reached da popularity of bbm.
And this move is not gud for themselves. Although millions of them will enjoy this app service on their droids and ios, their own mobile phones will not be sold anymore. I mean bb today is only know for their messenger and now other os will also have this.
Rim will soon be a popular app developing company rather than a mobile making one...
AnonD-145548, 14 May 2013It is not cross platform if it does not come available for WP8 -_- Oh well, guess we will be s... moreHAHAHAHA.. Embarrassed cat scratches a pole..
BBM is not cross platform if not for WP8.. hahahaha..
So, there is no Official Gmail app and google is not even interested, so gmail is not a cross platform email?
Hahahaha... grapes are sour kid...
it's actually pretty good moves from RIM if it comes free just like line, whatsapp etc.
but the worst part is, low end android (ICS version) will have BBM, so there's no point to buy new blackberry even the cheapest one.
AnonD-15152, 14 May 2013Aaaaand RIM just died by making this decisionI would have to disagree. I believe that a lot of people have decided not to buy a BlackBerry just because they feel sort of left out not being able to communicate with their friends using iphone or some kind of Android (which most people still are using). This will no longer be an argument against buying a BlackBerry.
It is not cross platform if it does not come available for WP8 -_- Oh well, guess we will be staying with good old WhatsApp then
this is actualy a smart move cause now bbm is not limited by os it become more popular. not everyone wants a black berry and alot of peeps could me included could care less about bbm but this give them a fighting chance now do the same with black berry video .
This is gonna bring a downfall to blackberry phone sales.....basically blackberry was bought only for the bbm it offered.
AnonD-145534, 14 May 2013So...What's next?..A legendary mobile phone manufacturer turning itself into 3rd party app dev... moreI think that's what they'll become to be honest... just like Sega did with their video game consoles, they are now just 3rd Party Game Makers
I'm actually shocked, will this mark their END? or is this for the good? It would probably be a good step in the right direction... I'm happy as most of my friends have BBM! :3
People who are hardcore bb users will stick to Blackberry especially in the qwerty sector as still Blackberry dominates that field and can push forth with it.I personally think it is a great move and they should also outsource the platform to other manufacturers but keep hardware/software controls like windows so its not fragmented like android.
AnonD-2355, 14 May 2013I guess I have no more reason to be loyal with BlackBerry.
I think I've wasted my money buyin... morethey are trying to become Google or Facebook instead of Apple. They think they would profit by giving away BBM for free. I don't know how they could financially profit with that move.
Now with free PIN, who would buy a crappy Dual Core phone if with the same price you could get a flagship HTC One, iPhone 5, S4, Xperia you name it and crammed BBM into it? Silly silly Heinz
