chandu, 14 May 2013Does this existing in windows phone or not????Nop because WP don't sell well. WP has only 2% world market share. Only nokia fan boy buy wp. ;-)
Wonder what's the strategy... Don't think they'll just give away one of their top selling points just for nothing.
wow nice one!, Black Berry Just dug their own grave on this ... Good lUCk!
Sabo, 14 May 2013I think they make this decision bcos they are switching to android...Seriously? Bcos? And BlackBerry isn't switching to Android. They built a whole new OS from the ground up. This will not effect the sales of BlackBerry 10 because BBM is not why people, okay the 15 year olds might, buy a BlackBerry. One buys a BlackBerry because of the (most) secure OS and, with BlackBerry 10, best integration of (social) media and easiness in which one can share anything. BBM will only run on Android 4 or higher and iOS6 or higher, not all devices have this. Plus, the BBM on thos platforms will not be the full version as it will be on BlackBerry.
blackberry just shot themselves in the foot. This will finally mark the end of sale of bb phones
its not about bying BBM at cheaper price because the samsung and iOS are at same price level as the BB's.
will lee wanta, 14 May 2013this will be the death of blackberry (the device), but may save blackberry (the company). H... moreit called a marketing giimmick remember BB use to only sell on th fetaure Of BBM and since the new apps BBM has lost the feature with all of this what my perception may be is that they will get people once agin habitutaed for BBM apps and then Finally remove it from android and ios or either join android and ios which is not possible it gud play trust me as BBM is th best an once we get use it it very hard for us to give up trust me thats what they are trying a 5 year GOal stategy
This is the only thing that i missed in my S3. Now i will have it. Who will buy blackberry now when other are selling better smartphone at cheeper price. This news will boost android and ios sell. WP and BB10 will fail even harder.
All hail android.
if it ever work i will never use blackberry again i will buy it on android
I would say that BB had several reasons to get their customers to stick with them and at the same time killed them over....
1. BBM, DEATH with the adoption of whatsapp (They see it comming but not accepted it), the fact that they are opening to the other OS is not relevant once Whats app has become extremely popular. I would not change my data plan or pay more just to have BBM on my android.
2. Unlimited International Data: GONE, they killed the international unlimited data plan with BB10, so another reason to adopt other platform.
3. Messaging AP: They did a great job on this, but Exchange in android and iOS make it not necessary..
My personal preference, is only the keybaord... I am a messaging guy and they keyboard from BB is great for my needs, so in conclusion, maybe BBM has more options but I am not sure it will help them out.
