yea GSMarena you guys are right, nokia could have easily made a N85 or N95-ish Tube with all the 5mp an all, but maybe the Nseries 8mp might be a touchscreen or the Nseries touchscreen could be a 5mp and be announced along side the Nseries 8mp, could be a possible situation

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2008Price it under US$600 Nokia and I'll pick one each for me and my gf. 600$????? no way the e90 is about 700$ the e66about 500$ how can you imagen that the 5800 touch screen with 8gb with 3.2 px with 3.2inch screen wifi and and......with 600$????must be at lest 1000$.

Highly Anticipated from the Market Leader.
Hope Nokia has the better price for this phone. From spec and feature, I think this for mid-range.
No 3rd party application right now for Symbian 9.5 s60v3 feature pack 5.

Finally a touchscreen phone from Nokia... it was about time.. anyway, too late now...it´s no match for the HTC Touch HD... not even for the SE Xperia or Omnia... too bad!

Nokias been quite for a bit now but they will be shocking the others with some top quality mobiles to show the others they have got to keep producing better mobiles to challenge Nokia sales ,the 5800 looks brilliant an not really into touch screen mobiles yet, but the N85 an N79 on there way soon an mobile-review says Nokia announcing some other 6 top class mobiles soon i just hope people realise not everyone can afford the 8 mega-pixel camera mobiles so Nokia releasing so top class 5 an 3 mega-pixel ones with quality features an also cheaper prices to keep there sales on top of the others

y is it not classified as a high-end phone? I think it is pretty high high high to touch the sky. I mean come on dvd like video, a good camera, large touchscreen, tv out and more. y? Y? Y? is just the 3.15 mp camera compared to the n96's dull 5mp camera? what is it?

It looks really good, but one problem that i dont understand with nokia. Why didnt they save this design for a N-Series Nokia phone? why did they use it for a low end phone. I hope nokia will explain exactly why this has happened. And last thing, a phone that looks that great, should atleast have 5megapixel camera.
Nokia are the only phone company that still dont have a 8megapixel camera, i really think this phone shouldve been the first phone from nokia to have 8megapixel.

It does has wifi.
Its gonna beat iphone in all way except multi touch function but who knows nokia is going to announce a high end touch screen phone at the end of 2008.
