There doesn't seem to be anything unique about this handset it is almost a mirror of the I-phone, but in what sense does this make it better?
Symbian Freak, 27 Sep 2008Hi,i have a question and please dont consider it an argue..i cant say something about BB becau... moredefinitely you're not an american. in USA its blackberry and iphone that matters.
its a nice phone, interface is same as bold, not very bulky, odd touch interface that you actually have to click. i played with it my self
Hi,i have a question and please dont consider it an argue..i cant say something about BB because i didnt use it. but why should i buy this??...what is special??
1.If i need a toy with Greatest User interface and do a good job when am show off i will buy iPhone.
2.If i need music i will buy Nokia Xpress music line phone (like the upcoming 5800 tube).
3.If i need a gaming phone then its Nokia N81.
4.If i need a business phone i will buy a HTC touch pro.
6.Multimedia device role them all then N95 or N85.
7.a Brick do everything then i will buy Nokia E90 by 750$ (and this is what i own now).
8.I prefer to stuck with White and Black screen if u will mention a non-smart phone like Samsung Bexon with 8MP.
Why i buy BB?????....connectivity??...i have push email and 3 messengers and qwerty and 4' inch screen and mail for exchange and each day my E90 surprise me with another great 3rd party application...and before everything..it has the best OS...Symbian. i used Windows before on iMate jam and its a PC os force it self to be a PDA OS...and its full of bugs and instability.
I think BB is for US market where Nokia dont care about 3G...isnt it?
Matt, 27 Sep 2008Oh, I forgot to mention.. HTC were doing TouchScreen handsets LONG before Apple, I guess with ... morewhat does HTC or MAC have to do with Blackberry=
Blackberry uses it´s own OS based on JAVA.
this Thunder )europe or Storm )US' also holds a 3.2 mpix camera, just like the Javalin will have.
It looks a little bulky and the interface seem very bland and boring to me (I hope it's just the theme). Other than that it's not too bad. The touchscreen isn't in my liking so I doubt I'll be getting myself one of these - I think I'll upgrade my 8800 to the 9000 instead, but even then, not anytime soon.
it does have wifi i deal very closly with vodafone and it has wifi and will be out early november
Verizon Wireless to carry it in the us. (sh_t)
Oh, I forgot to mention.. HTC were doing TouchScreen handsets LONG before Apple, I guess with this logic Apple (MAC) copied HTC (Windows Operating System) ?
OMG MAC COPIED WINDOWS IN THE MOBILE PHONE INDUSTRY?
I hope that hurt iFan.
scoopyscoopy, 27 Sep 2008Oh,,,Yeah... Another wanna be iPhone. So, because a phone has touchscreen capability it's an iPhone copy? I don't think so.
The iPhone is a good phone to random sheepish consumers.
The BlackBerry Storm is a good phone towards business users.
You go ask someone who runs a cooperation which phone they would prefer.
Which brings more money, consumer or business users?
The ihone is still the best phone in the world!!!
f4te, 27 Sep 2008its a phone, not a toy. it doesnt need a camera.
btw 'as of *now* its not 100%', regarding... moreyou know you're right. it's a phone. it doesn't need a camera. and since it's a phone you don't really need to see anything so a 12 digit display and number pad should do nicely. and while we're in the chopping department we may as well cut:
- microSD slot
- usb connection
- instant messaging
- a web-browser
- document viewer
- java support
- media player
- video player
- phone book
- call register
- 3g/edge support
- customisable ring tones
- vibration alert
- 3.5mm headphone jack
i mean who cares what else they can easily pack into the device in the same form factor. it's a phone. it should only make and receive calls, right?
I can't believe this phone doesn't have Wife. What's a long step back!!!
Oh,,,Yeah... Another wanna be iPhone.
JOYANTO, 26 Sep 2008seems like it gonna be the best phone ever from blackberry.i don't its going to be the best phone ever as there is still space for improvement on this phone spec's
However its very good that blackberry this time come out with a real competitor to iphone and so not too lose ground on blackberry nich market which iphone want to snap from them lol
According to what I read on crackberry.com the Storm does not have WIFI! What a let down if that is true! For me I was wanting this device or the SE X1.
its a phone, not a toy. it doesnt need a camera.
btw 'as of *now* its not 100%', regarding wifi, last line
What about internet browser of this BB? Can it support flash sites/banners and it compete nokia browser?
The Real iPhone killer from the same country and same market. In fact the Blackberry market are more bigger than Apple. In smartphone market Blackberry only one step behind Nokia. It's mean also symbian are number one and RIM in second.
