Before the end of Symbian OS, we expect final firmware update from Nokia.
Guys,can you read the title?
It says "this summer" , so next summer they gonna ship more phones.
Sad.. very sad. Symbian was good and Nokia gave hell of a lot to early mobile users and shaped up the industry. Pity they couldn't understand the market dynamics and where it heading. Becuase of failures of Nokia and now even the Apple, we are forced to use more power, more specs but less performance phones by Androd.
Edit - when I say less performance it's the optimisation of hardware and custmized software. Even though we talk about customisation of Android its just the interface that we customize, not optimized.
I was a Nokia Fan from 1986, this is a sad news, however the company has good phones for now, may be not the same quality as used to had but is a good brand. Sayonara Symbian!!!
Goodbye Symbian, all people,in the world, will miss you,Symbian is unforgettable... Bye bye you have lots of memories... You did it Symbian, need to,take a rest :) goodbye
Nokia 808 and N9 are should be collector phones.
RIP Symbian and MeeGo
It's time to buy a 808 and keep it inside the box. At some time later it may become a a collectors piece.
I like Symbian a lot, but since that Elop guy took over, Symbian is as good as a zombie waiting for exit.
this is definitely the most sad news.like all said, we all the right and simple thing all in one place. i will definitely miss u and will be always be have place in my heart.
but who know,.. we may see brand new nokia OS.
Its sad news to me, I really liked symbian, it has always the best smartphone OS ever made, it was also very soft and never required lots from hardware. Goodbye nokia then, probably forever because I hate microsoft and apple. Android sucks and I dont need lots of apps or games. Symbian was immediatelly ready to use after choosing language, setting date/time. No any other information was needed. Video and photo editing tools, video calling etc... came right out of the box. nokia pc suite was only needed for updating firmware, nothing else. All symbian phones also had dedicated camera button, answer/ end call buttons instead of dumb touchscreen slide/touch to control callings. Symbian had everything I needed right out of the box. After firmware updates symbian has always been very stable for me.
Sybian was good, they just had to pursue it, I havent touched a nokia since they migrated to windows
Just got rid my final Nokia and here comes this news right now lol
