Besides Nokia, I also waiting for Sony Xperia Honami and Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2013lg is the one who started touch screens then iphone took that idea made it better i think its ... moreLG wasnt first to make a touchscreen device.
They were however the first to show one in the new wave that brought us iPhone (the wave of manufactors understanding the potential of giving users multimedia and web content by filling the front with a screen instead of buttons).
There were lots of touchscreen phones before it, touchscreen smartphones dates back to 1992/93.
And Actually, Neonode was even before LG. First shown late 2002 in Sweden, but they didn't have the resources back then so it was much delayed. And was pretty outdated when it launched.
It featured geastures, some later made well known by Apple (some of them claimed by apple to be their own inventions).
Much like the first iPhone it was powered by a smarthpone OS, but didnt officially support installing apps.
Much like iPhone, it had a smart OS, but was inteded for the average person, and focus was not put on business users adn thus had a scaled down UI, unlike its later cousine Windows Mobile (also based on Windows CE).

But they did not start the trend, please recheck the history.
And LG, Samsung and more had already realized it was the next natural step in phone evolution, and started working on devices. Samsung and lots other companies made touchscreen smarthpones, long before the iPhone.
Sony made the Xperia active, a tough phone.
Not the first by any means, Ericsson did one way back in the days.
And Xperia active wasnt even the first tough smartphone. For example Nokia 5500, Motorola Defy.
Nokia was in no way first with wireless charging in smartphones.
Sure samsung follows trends, and so does others.
And technology is often the father of invention. When new technology of improved technology reches the market, others often follows the one who brings it first. But not to copy, but purely cause they realized the power of that tecknology.
And when there is much critique about phones breaking easily, why shouldnt every company try to launch a tougher version of their high end phones?
The S4 zoom is not Samsungs answer to EOS/Pureview, it's a different product, trying to find it's own niche, like when Samsung took the whole Phablet market and made it successfull (there were phablets before, never called so, and Altek Leo was an android phone with optical zoom and camera looks, but not successfull, S4 Active is a higher end version of Xcover that comes from earlier tougher samsungs that werent smartphones).
Samsung can afford to put eggs in to every basket and see what sticks. Except for Apple few others could afford that if they wanted, but I'm sure Sony, LG and HTC would love to, now that ZTE and Huawei are viable competitors, they could need a real hit in a niche to get a head start and push some units and win back some brand recognition.
its okay, even you go with the plastic
why must a metal?
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2013lg is the one who started touch screens then iphone took that idea made it better i think its ... moreI own a Note2 actually, lol, great display, good battery life, wonderful browsing, nice gadget overall, but Nokia is unique anyway ;)
after the release of this phone. Manufacturers will surely make a new claim Innovated phone?
lg is the one who started touch screens then iphone took that idea made it better i think its good thing so why is it a prob when sammy do it i dont care about hu came out with what its hu can bundle it best into one package that being said i do think they should pay for patents used but i leave that for the companies to deal with cause they dont pay me. anywaysi think all companies have ther goods and bads. if people did not copy in some form then allot of the things we hold dear would not exist.

Eg. Apple started a trend of touchscreen phones, Samsung immediately tried to follow its strategy, Sony took pride on a waterproof phone, Samsung couldn't stand the temptation to release one too, Nokia brings wireless charging, Samsung tries to do the same, Nokia prepares to bring the most fantastic camphone ever, Samsung hurries to launch its ugly version of it, all others invest on new features, Samsung plays on the same field as soon as it hears about those features, and bring the inferior version of them. Pathetic. Some people call this copying behaviour 'innovation'. Now that Nokia is bringing a bulletproof phone, i'm terribly curious, what will the cheap plastic company do about it?
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2013Nokia is dead
Sent from my Galaxy S4 super amoled Full HDtottaly agree with u

i like what nokia does for sure but i also like what samsung does to i dont understand the hate to each his own amazing design

AnonD-133243, 16 Jun 2013anyone got an idea what's that line above camera hole?It is just a design, probably something like on htc One... I don't know.
i just hope that this one will be the second version of the EOS which will be the worldwide release with GDR3 update and 5 inch screen (1080p display)...m keeping my fingers crossed
the square shaped lens hole maybe for 16 element lens arrangement of pelican tech.
it seems it'll be one american and one worldwide version of EOS, hope the metallic be the second
The line could be a an included design...but whatever the phone is gonna be ...m sure its just gonna be amazing..just too stylish
