Billion of people know the best phone ever released is Xperia x1. It’s a perfect phone. Still I’m using K700i more than three and half years. It’s working fine and no idea to throw it. I love Xperia. I’m really happy it already selling. But I haven’t money to buy Xperia X1. I’m not sad, because it’s enough to watch this phone ever for me. Long life Xperia………………..

Someone pls enlighten us... Is the X1 RAM 394MB or 256MB??? The released White Paper from SE on X1 indicates only 256MB. I am not sure when or where the 384MB myth comes about. The HTC Touch Pro has a RAM of 288MB. I am caught between the 2. In my opinion, X1 has better built quality & bigger screen size, while Touch Pro has better user interface (Touch Flo) and the a better keyboard design.

I don't like the design, I prefer the Omnia....
By the way Omnia is cheaper and better.

God is in the data... SE has been loosing market share... lets see after this .... I bet they will keep loosing until and unless they get their act together.
Business & smart phones are the market makers... Look at Nokias E90 , E71 , IPhone , HTC Dream and Dimond etc..

Anonymous, 13 Oct 20088 months is a long time in the mobile world. Now the xperia looks dated and not so great. Touc... moresomethings wrong with your research. This is also a touch screen phone. And contrary to what you believed, this is still highly anticipated. Haven't you noticed how every WM device or smartphone released is contrasted to the yet to be released X1?

8 months is a long time in the mobile world. Now the xperia looks dated and not so great. Touch screen phones are cooler. My prediction is that this will be a flop.
Sony Ericsson has been loosing the battle on high end phones... The P 990 was their last great phone.
Funny thing the company that looses the battel on high end phones tend to loose market share... this is true from the data I have seen.
SE pull up your socks ... normally your phone build quality and the material you use is far better than Nokia ... but you are loosing the race to almost every one.

Karim, 13 Oct 2008well .nokia e66 or e71 is better .htc g1 or diamond is better .samsung omnia is bette... moreNah... Nokia 5800 is only mid-ranged so there is no way it can compete with xperia. In the future, yes, Nokia will release greater touch screen phones but not during Dec08/Jan09.

i will re-iterate.

that majority of people on the market today already have an mp3 player. Plus using a phone as an mp3 player is just a novelty. it severley drains the battery life.

as for the size of the camera- the target market of the X1 is at the people who either need a mobile PDA or a smart business phone.

me personally? i don't use a phone camera- except for the occasional picture. and a 5mp compared to a 3.2 mp camera doesn't have much difference in image quality- if all the hardware(shutter, lens, color pastels, ect) is made of the same parts- as the majority of camera phones are. in this case- a 5mp camera will only let you take larger sized images.

if we talk about real stabdalone cameras- they are all different, but i know Nokia cheaps out and designs 3 or 4 phones using the exact same camera parts. I sell phones, and from what i have tested myself- the picture quality between phones released in a niche are generally the same quality- the only thing that changes is size.
