garGAURAV, 11 Oct 2008GUYS...what is the surety that these images are of the october retail box.....i feel these are... moreI am suspicious about the pics,,why did he not switch it on,,why no photos of the back of the device,,where are the charger, manual etc,,????The device does "as some have mentioned" look drab and not very enticing,,it would have looked better if it switched on..
I repeat more politely... is that retail? If so, SE is a thing of the past. Front looks uneven, two piece metal around the qwerty looks crap, 256MB RAM... did not they promise more? no shock sensor, camera well, cheap.
And I am supposed to buy it for premium price... I don't think so. It is a slightly improved Touch Pro, nothing more.
I asked a business partner if he could pick one up for me while traveling through europe, he ended up buying one for himself as well.
The build is the most amazing thing I've ever seen on a cellular phone, in fact I feel uncomfortable for referring to it as a phone.
Keyboard takes time to get used to though, like any new typing peripheral.
This phone is already outadated just wait until nokia release their new dual touch screen business monster a.k.a. NOKIA E91
missed the boat 8 months in the making almost as worthless as the nokia n96....
The nokia E90 has x1 beat in most aspects. The only thing the x1 has over the E90 is it has a prettier OS and touch screen. Step it up sony ericsson, not impressed.
The only important drawback in my opinion, is the 65k display. While Nokia offers a 16m color display, this could be a disaster for sonyericsson.
Beside that, this phone is just awesome.
Danilo, 11 Oct 2008The Nokia e90 beats this phone in the following aspects: 1. 5 row keyboard w/ dedicated top r... moreall you said is about hardware not software...you just talk around keyboard...why do you not realize that x1 has more powerfull processor and RAM, material, are you sure E90 resolution screen is better than X!? yes E90 has bigger screen size but bigger size decrease resolution density, x1 has better battery capacity, better multimedia side, has touch screen, optical mouse and ect...
I still don't get it!!
Why have lame keyboards when you can use touch screen? Touch screens are made for handwriting recognition, remember? It's much better actually writing text than typing it in... Pls, make better handwriting recognition and stop making keyboards!!
[deleted post]The Nokia e90 beats this phone in the following aspects:
1. 5 row keyboard w/ dedicated top row for numbers
2. shortcut buttons for the frequently used functions
3. Native task manager w/c is available upon long press of menu key
4. desktop like clipboard shortcuts (ctrl+c, ctrl+v, etc)
5. Higher resolution inner display
6. Remove the cover UI (panels) then its Symbian vs WinMo (both sophisticated and w/ advantages but the former is more intuitive)
But of course, I have to admit that the Xperia has also a lot to offer as a Windows Mobile Device. It's the most versatile OS with the largest market share for 3rd-party apps followed by Symbian, and Palm.
The real pictures of this phone are ugly...wont buy this phone for sure!!!
