Nexus 4 does not lag. It's not the operating system that causes lag. It's the user interface that Samsung, Sony etc put on top of the OS that causes the lag. Vanilla android hardly lags. If I browse while the gallery is open and audio playback is active as well as some more processes in the back ground then there is some lag. However nothing that is bother some in the least.

i do,nt see samsung will no longer king of smart phonr..its almost going to be sony
samsung really is bad on design.specs are more or less the same in big brands.samsung hasnt got any style !

Which begs the question: Why go for specs when it still lags??
Only sheeps go upgrade their phone every 6mths just to keep up with specs.
I say go for a nice designed phone with a decent size you can handle. Like Sony Z /ZL.
If this is waterproofed, as good as the Wacom digitizer on the Note series, software innovations for the stylus and has a good screen on usage time of maybe 8 hours- I'll get it if the Note 3 doesn't offer much. But most likely this will have the bad fixed battery again.
AnonD-7433, 20 Jun 2013DOA? Note III? You made me laugh. You have no idea what the Note III will bring. You honestly ... moreYa, I'm also pretty sure the Note III will end up with the same design to every Samsung phone since S3. Though Note III will still sell like a hotcake with no doubt....
And for this Sony Togari, some spec and features are still yet to be announced and revealed like display and etc. If Sony doesn't disappointed ppl again with a average quality screen quality on a flagship device (tot it is not poor for the Z and ZL), and done well/ok in most other basic part like call, camera and etc, Sony will surely steal lots of attention and phablet users from Samsung.
AnonD-115286, 20 Jun 2013Wait for Sony Honami then, another rumored Sony's upcoming flagshipThat's what I'm doing. I'll also wait for Samsung and others though. I like the xperia z for its waterproofness but the specs and the Rom seem rather poor.
The battery should be twice as powerful as Galaxy Note 2's juice container.
As long as they don't take forever releasing this and they have divx support, which I assume they will, then this will definitely be my next phone. With regards to lagging, all phones lag, some more than others, you can't just blame the OS, my nokia n900 has always lagged on maemo, my lg 4x hd on android 4.0 also lags. Its best to enjoy the experience rather than moan about lag all the time or the size of smartphones.
AnonD-147044, 20 Jun 2013I really hate the size of it. 5 inches and I'd consider buying it.Wait for Sony Honami then, another rumored Sony's upcoming flagship
Anonymous, 20 Jun 2013S2 lags S3 lags S4 with exynos lags S4 with s600 lags So i do not believe that will chan... moreThe lag is not due to the processors being not powerful enough, but rather due to bad CPU governors and general design of android. I own a galaxy s2 and the occasional lag doesn't bother me. With more powerful processors things like browsing the web gets significantly more smooth.I see no reason to get a device with s600 when s800 Is almost out.
AnonD-147044, 20 Jun 2013Do some research before you start spouting bull*****. You definitely can, as the snapdragon800... moreS2 lags
S4 with exynos lags
S4 with s600 lags
So i do not believe that will change with s800 either. The issue is android the ultimate lag + battery drain OS.. with S-Lag feature.. even s1200000 cannot save it.
Anonymous, 20 Jun 2013Sorry do not think you can squeeze 800 with 3k battery into 5inch..Do some research before you start spouting bull*****. You definitely can, as the snapdragon800 is also more efficient. Samsung will bring an s4 with the 800 as well
too big to handle,,,,i wonder why r they making their flagships that large!!
Awesome. I have never owned a phalet before as I don't like Samsung Note. But Sony phablet seems yummy and i should be buying
