Design is a subjective preference. Case in point: I think the iPhone looks like cheap crap. Aluminum is a cheap metal, we make a billion soda cans a year out of it. It's not premium at all. On the other hand, a handset like the Xperia Z oozes class; it's not even fair to compare it to the iPhone. This is my opinion.
What is the point of trying to start fights by making category errors in your posts?

Does the average smartphone owner actually use Bluetooth file transfer and USB on the go? No, they don't.
This is why the iPhone is still relevant.
AnonD-157780, 21 Jun 2013In America or USA ???? Because neither in Peru or Guatemala or El Salvador happen that you say... moreIn response, I had written something along similar lines, but found this under this link, so decided to post it instead : http://www.usaisnotamerica.com/index.php
In the modern English language, the term "America" refers to the United States. The term used to refer to the entire region in the Western Hemisphere is "The Americas". In all English-speaking / Anglo-Saxon countries (The United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, The United States, Australia, New Zealand), they teach that there are seven continents. It has been this way for hundreds of years; therefore, it is not a recent construct. These were the terms used by the English to refer to their colony and the lands outside of their colony. In the seven-continent model, North America and South America are two separate continents. If you tell someone from a country outside of The Americas that you are from "America", they will automatically assume that you are from the United States. If you are not from the United States, they will not understand why you're telling them that you are American. It's not really your place to question the vocabulary of an established language that is spoken by millions of native speakers. You can't change their language. If you don't like it, don't speak it. It's fine if you want to say "Estados Unidos" when you speak Spanish, but when you speak English, "America" refers to the United States, and only the United States. When the terms "America" and "American" were coined, your people were under Spain's rule and they didn't give a damn about what the European opressors called their homeland. They wanted nothing to do with the Europeans. Anyway, it's just a word. A huge debate isn't really necessary. Instead of wasting your time worrying about an English vocabulary word, why don't you work towards ending poverty and getting rid of your drug lords?
Overall, the iPhone is still the best hardware design out there. The HTC One is a fairly close second.
In terms of design, Samsung is not even in the running. Mostly nerds and uncool people from the suburbs and the Third World buy that.... (Only half-joking here :)
The reality is, for many people the combination of design and solid performance is what sets the iPhone apart.
I personally like Android and JB has made the Android OS actually better than iOS 6. But iOS 7 has enough tweaks to keep the iPhone running at or near the top of the sales charts.
(For the record, I have two Android phones currently, including a Lenovo K900, which is one of the better designs out there, although in person it's not as good as the iPhone 5, or the HTC One.)
can we stop pretending that every "leak" photo is without the manufacturer intent, so that they can keep ppl interested?
and every new flagship is almost identical in specs with any other flagship competitor.
In America or USA ???? Because neither in Peru or Guatemala or El Salvador happen that you say because I imagine that you mean America from Argentina to Canada or Alaska.
