An aluminum phone cover... moreHowever if the phone is a unibody design then that 10gms is etched out of a solid block weighing more than 10 times that.
Sure, it still might not cost a lot, but when you multiply that by millions of phones the cost of all that waste adds up pretty big, not just in dollars but more importantly in wasted aluminium (materials).

An aluminum phone cover might weight aprox 10 grams at a price of 1,8 $/KG 10 grams would cost only 0.018 $ that's less than 2 cents.
Next time you wanna brag about phone covers keep in mind that your aluminum phone cover costs less than 2 cents. ROTFL
I don't think it's true, because CF blocks almost all wireless connections (about 2.4 GHz I'm sure. Btw, it's frequency of Wi-Fi)

Hi everyone, despite your favourite brand i want your ATTENTION for awareness on echological issues. Plastic causes extreme pollution in environment if not collected back for recycle, and mostly it doesn't. Firstly plastic bottles and general consumption goods packaging waste, and now during last years electronic devices plastic residuals are invading our planet more and more every single day. So please, it is a duty for everybody to make research on pollution for every material widely used and to exercise pressure on every manufacturer about their environment protection policies, and to boycott any nature damaging products when identified, no matter if their name is Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Sony, Htc, Blackberry, Lenovo, Dell, Hp, Toshiba, Zte, Asus, Lg, Motorola, Huawei, Acer or whatever.
I made some research on web and it's terrifying, our planet needs emergently action against the pollution, air pollution from the plane trails, industry and cars, water and soil pollution with hydrocarbonates and polycarbonates and toxines deriving from their production cycle.
Don't expect the governments to be too mindful about nature, they usually are too busy politicians looking after their own benefits, only us common people can make the difference.
Be Aware. Save the Planet. Spread the Word.
Thsee two manufacture are trading info then file a dummy law suit to one another just to keep the hype.
Cickova, 24 Jun 2013moto did it couple of years ago, go home crapsungare you sure they used carbon fiber? i believe it was kevlar.. give me a moto phone that used carbon fiber. im not a samsung fanboy, i just want you to defend what you just said.

Samsung please don't change the materials and please keep on using polycarbonate, we i.e-the-fanboys, willing to die in defending the honor of plastic.
BULA BENIS, 24 Jun 2013what a joke. a carbon fiber galaxy s4 for example will be 2000 euro at leastCarbon fibre is not really expensive and is extensively used in RC cars/planes etc.
And then we're not even talking mass production.
The Kvelar-phones from Motorolla costed the same as any other phone in the same range. No reason to expect anything else from Samsung. They are already more than pricey enough compared to competitors.

Samsung should be liquid metal with microfluids nano heat pipe in the casing.
