If Nokia tries to go for android it will be a big game changer in the smartphone industry. Nokia has a good reputation in making very high quality smartphones. imagine if Lumia has an android version. I guess it will sell like hotcakes. They should have done this a bit earlier though but it is still not too late for them. If they want to stay relevant in this industry they should not be afraid to try android.
i gues they wil pick back meego after 2016,along wid wp....i want to hav a meego device,i stil cant leave d idea....now when they fully own nokia siemens network, comercial prospects are going up...btw android in the picture in d above news looks much more beautiful...even better than xperia z lineups.

The fluidity is only realised once you start using Windows Phone. I used Nexus 7 and Frankly, I was fine with little bit of lag here and there. Only after moving to Lumia 920, I realised the difference. WP OS is in different league, when it comes to fluidity. Even my friends with iPhones are pleasantly surprised by the performance during screen navigations and page loads. WP is beautiful.

It's true that Google Play Store has many apps but most of the apps are trials, ad wares, marlwares, dolphin browser's add ons, themes of different launchers, whatsapp add ons, copy of another applications, pornographic apps, and many trojans. There's nearly 700000 applications on the Android OS but only 100000 apps are worthwhile. I know what i am talking about. I highly doubt if you've ever been to the Google Play Store. Go there and check see for yourself before posting irrelevant jokes.
A dual boot droid- w8 phone would make me sit up and take notice. We wait nokia
there wouldn't be any point in being nokia if they went for android... at this point they are considered almost a synonim for a windows phone... when you say windows phone most people will think of nokia (and microsoft of course).. that would never happen with android.. it would probably take them a while to create a pleasent interaction for users with android and they don't have that time.. other OEMs have much more experience with android and because of that they are somewhat able to compensate for its weaknesses.. every business is mostly a trial and error affair and incosistencies were the main cause for nokia being in this mess in the first place.. they had too many divisions each pulling its own way.. different versions of different OSes, teams for development with teams for design all being separate with almost no contact between them at all... Elop unified the company and strengthened it from the inside and now they have to stick with the plan and wait for the magic to happen

Your comment about play store says all about your hate to android...
Android was laggy i admit...but it isn't laggy now...may be rarely in some occasions..just a small hiccup that's it...but for that small hiccup i can't give up a feature rich os...with lot of customisation....
Nokia must make android phone, if nokia will not prepare android phone then it will go in so lost........
[deleted post]Recently used a Nexus 4 at a shop and noticed scrolling lags. Admit it, whether it's Google Android or Sammy Android, they all share one thing in common and that is, "lag.'' I bet you've never used a Nexus 4 since you claimed it's lag free but you didn't notice the scrolling lag.
[deleted post]very true... i think thez android haters dont even know that sumthin called nexus also exist in thz planet... or they confusing android wid samsung...
It's quite simple. Just let Nokia with their WP surely launch to their grave yard. WP's market share decrease day by day. Nobody could save Nokia from bankruptcy. Microsoft will kill Nokia slowly but surely. Lol. Hahaha...

Now, every thread on this site has its own "nonesense champion". You are clearly winner of this one.
You don't really know what you're talking about, do you?
To other people here (sarcasm warning).
Don't worry about Nokia. They will survive. With current trends, they will gain some significant market share in about 10-15 years. Since, monopoly market they once learned to rule will be no more, and they, along with MS, must adapt to healthy competition. Something they have no real experience with.
ANAYLYST?? i have a group that is discussing in every sunday for the past year about why nokia should consider dealing with google to make android phones..
nokia maps are better than google if your driving or travelling for sure as they work offline you could be in the woods but google good for giving you direction on how to get were your going . But being an android user i admit nokia maps are better
brynn, 01 Jul 2013I am no expert but do Nokia pay a fee for Microsoft license even tho its same team? What I me... moreActually it's the other way round for the time being. MS is paying a bonus to Nokia for promoting WP. If I remember correctly 2014 or 2015 will be the year that the cashflow will go reverse. If I'm not mistaken though, the deal is good for Nokia in terms of cashflow (meaning they will get more than what they'll pay MS)
