feature phones is a dead category, as now even the lowest or poor people are using android devices which are really cheap. Moreover, new Android 5.0 key lime pie is optimize to run on cheap devices also. Imagine latest android running on very low price phones, will KILL Nokia!!. Also windowsphone are totally obsolete devices, no games, no applications and even some nokias have lags. Zero sales phone worldwide. Better they change to android or die.... bye bye nokia from the mobile industry. Make ovens, refrigerators jajaja
What I see here people like Android but just because they can install their hacked apps and don't like to pay a dime for it. hmmmm
I dont think this is the kind of users nokia want.
Modd the phone is not fun is just a geek toy. Different UI?, well, if you are not happy with the UI for ugly imagine your girlfriend you will change her face if you dont like something?
People need to focus what really matters and what not. We cant get a mix of iOS, WP and Android in one phone. This is just ridiculous.
Nokia shouldnt have let go of MEEGO.
Enough said...
X Nokia Fan
if its happen , nokia will shock the world and they will back on top in due time..
promise im first on the lines to have it NOKIA android 5.0 isn't it amazing....
I would love to see a Nokia phone with their AMOLED screen, awesome build quality, looks, superb camera optics with pure android running on it.
Wow, that's so tempting.
A Nokia's nexus would be a One and S4 killer!!
I vote Android but skin it with an updated UI based on the very familiar Nokia/Symbian interface. Something of a continuity on the surface, but using the Android engine underneath. That should keep all the old Nokia fans (both feature phones and the smartphones) in the Nokia fold, and who knows maybe even get the ones they lost back. Those who've already moved to android probably won't think twice getting the familiar Nokia interface with their new OS. :)
geordie81, 01 Jul 2013i see no reason why nokia and google could not come to aggreements to ship android nokias, nok... morehuh??? you must be daydreaming
I have loved Nokia phones for years and one of my wished would be the same as the analyst, if Nokia goes android I would switch back to one.
nokia manufactures mobiles with 64 mb internal memory as new/latest 2013 model...
while sony and iphone moving for 64gb phones...
so...
no use in changing software, when hardware is pathetic...
do u think it can survive with android. please dont joke..
AnonD-79514, 01 Jul 2013dual core android devices are very smooth, but of course you can troll and claim that they are laggyNot me, is the nature of the OS.
Jelly Bean can not even run on Single Cores, Dual Core is Laggy, they need Quad to be smooth.
WP 8 can run even on a Single Cored 800 Hmz smooth. Thats the main difference on both OS
It's not "one analyst". It's what everyone seems to say except of Elop, who should be fired.
geordie81, 01 Jul 2013i see no reason why nokia and google could not come to aggreements to ship android nokias, nok... moreGoogle will never allow nokia to use the nokia map!so this is a big preoblem for Nokia, some people say microsoft is a dictator but i think google too!!microsoft is the savior of Nokia, they only have to do one thing:allow WP to be realy smart, customisable, modable and all those bla bla bla people praise about android...and then Nokia and Wp shall raise again
When it comes to mobiles no company is closer to my heart than Nokia. I've owned so many in the past and love their more recent designs, but there is no way I will buy a phone that runs Windows Mobile. For Nokia to use android would be godsent. I know a few people who would finally buy a lumia in a heart beat... me included!
As Microsoft says: don't get scroogled!
And in my personal opinion, Stephen Elop's "aversion" to Android is just an ego problem, he just can't accept that in some way, he lost the battle.
AnonD-4697, 01 Jul 2013In fact WP8 can handle Quad Cores but the OS dont need it as Android because WP not lag at all LOLdual core android devices are very smooth, but of course you can troll and claim that they are laggy
AnonD-4697, 01 Jul 2013In fact WP8 can handle Quad Cores but the OS dont need it as Android because WP not lag at all LOLAndroid don't need quad cores either. But due to its capabilities to vast multimedia, it require quad cores for faster and better entertainment purposes. So does WP, I believe it i adopting quad cores sooner or later.
geordie81, 01 Jul 2013i see no reason why nokia and google could not come to aggreements to ship android nokias, nok... moreis simply, Google FORCE to use only their products (like Google Maps). The EOS will never work on Android since they use the software from Nokia in order to work.
In other words, this will never happen. Nokia dont want to trashe their software apps and Google will not let Nokia use their on they OS.
I really don't know, how could Nokia expect success with their Lumias, when they are not available in many countries? In my country (Republic of Macedonia), the telecom operators only sell Lumia 820 and 920, where are the other Lumias? Where are the budget friendly 520, 620, 720? Nokia will go bankrupt if they continue this. Samsung will dominate soon, look at their phones. Lumias only have good cameras, why would someone need that? ...
Yes. Nokia must make Android Smartphones to stay in the competition (at the least).
Everyone is laughing out loud with Nokia's Strategy.
Stephen Elop's resistance to Android has to end before it is too late.
