Part of the reason for the existence of Tizen is deterrent to Google to not make any erratic ill-conceived moves with Android such as charging for it or restricting its use.
samsung : supports android, windows phone, maybe firefox os at the future so why they need another system bada, tizen ...
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2013Glad you know everything about an entire OS from a little leak. For your information, i worked in Tizen project in the past and i know how it is, since i have used it. Tizen OS is nowhere near the competition and it would be abandoned by Samsung when they will find out that the sales are very low. Sailfish OS is the best amongst Firefox, Ubuntu, Tizen etc. The end.
Tizen OS has nothing innovative to come up with and the UI is very much ugly and due to all those things, it's going to be a failure even if it's released. Jolla have created a beautiful OS by the name Sailfish OS and the apps are getting developed these days, it has the potential to capture the market and influence Android, iOS, Windows and BV10 OS sales. Samsung should completely abandon Tizen protect and join Sailfish bandwagon if the really wanna have a third OS which will be competitive enough and hold the capabilities to dominate Android.
It's clear now Samsung needs Android, which means it needs Google. But Google is the parent of Motorola. So, Samsung is going down too
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2013Explain why Bada OS is terminated?they could not develop it the way they wanted ..it would have become too big in size..taken too much resources
They could adopt it, but if they hate Nokia, then that's one other OS down for them to consider.
AnonD-162100, 05 Jul 2013I think Samsung should adopt Sailfish :)What a great idea! I don't think Samsung will adopt Sailfish OS as the firm has Android and Windows already and are thinking of launching Tizen OS devices but if they adopt Sailfish OS then they would make it the best OS,
well, ill wait for the new OS's to come out and we experience new things. but it is important who release the OS. u say apple? i agree. but when we talk about samsung, poooff...you kidding me!
Mobile Guru, 05 Jul 2013I wouldn't adopt an OS that isn't innovative and pretty much resembles Android 2.2 Froyo/Andro... moremy point is, this isn't fact until we hear from Samsung on what they would like us to follow.
So we can't say yet.
