Lumpia, 12 Jul 2013The Lumias doesnt need extravaganza specs to do the job. If you want some extraordinary specs,... moreDont know what that has to do with me commenting on someones statement that memory is cheap if it's bought in bulk.
The 1020 could do with more storage memory, or micro-SD slot, or USB on the go with storage support (for me, the last one feels like the best solution).
But yeah, MS is not doing their OEMs any favour with the bad hardware support.
Its a goog thing that the builds are pretty stable and not filled with drivers. But I'm sure MS could work faster on the hardware support. They talk the talk, but they dont walk the walk.. they will not turn it in to a three horse race at this pace... Doesnt matter that WP is efficient if your are not looking to pick up the 520 at a good price, or HTCs competing model. The OEMs have a hard time differenting Higher end from lower end... Good thing for lower en devices, but a bad thing for the status of the higher end devices, no matter how fluid they are.
I might get this one, but it wont be released here for some months... and for me, had it not been for planning to get a 8" Windows tablet, I would feel WP has too many shortcomings at this point. But with a tablet, I could get by with a featurephone, as long as it did a few mobile site services I use, and might have to use when I dont bring my tablet.
AnonD-36414, 12 Jul 2013just a thought here guyz,we want quad core,1080p,64 gb from nokia..but is it really worth afte... moreCome on, Nokia is living with WP for just 2 years. Already they are taking BB place as no 3.
Imagine what it will be in the next 2 years. So Nokia's plan is running good, maybe not the best yet.
Be patience bro
the hardware is good, but the software isn't.
emilian, 12 Jul 2013whats up with nokia? its toooo expensiveee!!!! not cool. ..and i was waiting for thos phone fo... moreGo ahead. And be the victim of marketing campaign for products which are less better than the really good ones like Nokia's.
Everybody wishs Nokia to jump to Android. That tells that everybody is missing Nokia's quality, despite the OS. So, get yourself straight up.
If you want improvement on the OS, wait for the next GDR3 and Blue update.
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2013Another flop from Nokia, Nokia is death nobody cares. No it is not. it's just you say that.
AnonD-152638, 12 Jul 2013actually Meego was pretty much killed by Intel before Nokia, so it had no stable foundation.
... moreThe Lumias doesnt need extravaganza specs to do the job. If you want some extraordinary specs, wait until WP8 GDR2, GDR3 and Blue come this coming months.
The ugly side is, Microsoft is not doing fast and good enough to support its vendors like Nokia, Samsung, etc.
Distech-Controls, 11 Jul 2013I will most likely replace my 808 Pureview with 1020.sounds like a good move ;)
Nokia had a wonderful chance to enter the big competition by putting a quad-core processor, 2mp+ front camera, full hd screen and a bigger screen, at least they would have been late in the competition but now they are not even in the competition !
If this phone was running Android, I would buy it the second it was released.
just a thought here guyz,we want quad core,1080p,64 gb from nokia..but is it really worth after watching how poor sony, htc are doing.may b nokia have a better timing in their plans to go into that spec center...though it may seem late.
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2013Another flop from Nokia, Nokia is death nobody cares. If Nokia is dead... Why do you bother to comment in Nokia related news.
Because you like trolling?
Can't afford the Lumia 1020 and got stuck in cheap Android phone?
