well I personally liked the old flip phones..just something cool about them and I liked how they shut off when just closing em...I just hope this one has a decent camera in it
I'll buy two right away, it's about time someone took another look at clamshell design. There's a very large market out there, full of parents who are reasonably tech savy but hate touch screen phones.
I would love Morotola to do this, and take out a new version of the v8 or v9, that would be amazing.
And they will release next a Nokia 5110-like touchscreen or their Samsung R220-like touchscreen and the fanboys will call it "refreshing" and a "great idea".
fiend, 16 Jul 2013i like crackHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha! So right! The comments here really shows how a fanboy really thinks, everything is better.
This is very interesting. Just last week I was looking at a someone with a clamshell phone circa 2006 and thought wow what a dead form factor. I guess maybe not. I personally wouldn't ever use a clamshell anymore unless the design was truly innovative
They should release a Galaxy phone with slide out qwerty keyboard N97 Mini-esque style perhaps?
wait, is this real? HAHAHAHA. this is the phone for those complaining of all the phones the makers are manufacturing with the same looks... here you go. Have this 1999-look phone
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2013They released another clamshell Android phone (with a dual-core CPU) in 2012, so it's not an e... moreA brave but honarable move, flip phones back in the early to mid 2000s dominated in the market physical keyboard and touchscreen that doubles as a bar phone when swivel over is an excellent idea it will be in south korea first most definitely and a few markets tested over here. To the folks who think clamshell or flip phones are extinct cleary has no idea of Docomo and the amazing high quality clamshell phones they have been releasing for years, they are not dead trust me it just needs to be done right
and now samsung fanboys will tell "its an innovative idea....blah blah blah" why would anyone use a touch and that too a flip one??? this is gonna be a failure android phone!!!
Dual 1080p displays and with a snap dragon 800 i'll gladly pay up to $1000. too bad this ain't it
Clamshells are not dead! Whoooooooo... That is great news. I loved them always.
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2013Why would someone buy this? Why not? 10 years ago we have phones in many form factors and i love all of them, now most phones are just touchscreens, the same shape with different sizes, it's boring, let them bring some diversity from the past.
