Anonymous, 22 Jul 2013Well dude manufacturers puts non removable battery to keep the phone thicker that's second rea... moreactually i did my research regarding the nsa and google, and still found that your post regarding why manufacturers make phones with non removable battieries still rubbish, basically the NSA does in fact have some code written into the Google Nexus Phones, and this code taps into cetain apps to block hackers and modders getting access to personal information from your device, however this is the NSA so that is just their official statement, this has also been found in the HTC one, Xperia Z and galaxy s4, and in the above 3 devices the codes is actually dormant, turned off, please get your information right, the two subjects you tried to cover are non related, NSA code can also be removed with custom firmware/roms, so again this has nothing to do with batteries.

True Facts, 22 Jul 2013Not true on samsung is not good on software. I used to be a little bit like this in my younger days, then I found out benchmakrs means nothing in real life performance. Samsung is a great example of this.

It doesn't help with high benchmarks when everything - including opening the app drawer - lags. S4, like it's predecessors, does not provide a decent user experience.

More efficient in using their HW? They put a FHD in a 5" device, this wastes tons of resources both CPU/GPU and battery. Last year, the single core mid-range RAZR i outperformed the Sammy's top quadcore S3 in multitasking and had nearly twice the battery life in call time as well. Samsung is not efficient at all in getting the most out of their HW. They only make their phones for benchmarking, thats what they are good at. That's why they always disappoint me and I don't buy them. I tested the S4 as soon as it came, and what a disappointment.

You can have your Lagsung for yourself. I prefer properly built phones with proper lag free SW.

You misunderstood me with the physical key, I meant the home button - the actual click-button. I have a Tablet running 4.2.2 There are many ways to place the soft keys, as there have been since the introduction of them. Auto hide etc, so you get to use the full screen in apps where this is beneficial. The purpose of the soft keys is to reduce the edge thicknes and overall phone size.

Also, I buy a phone that performs to my needs and I were the only one to buy it in the whole entire world, I'd still be happy - because it would still be a great phone for me. If you only care about how many buys the same phone as you, then I feel bad for you.

User expiernce is what matters. iPhone and WP phones have understood this. Android as been a playing field for HW dragracing mostly. Luckily, Moto has been focusing more on the user experience and still is, now more than ever based on the latest rumours.

Marco M, 22 Jul 2013Actually this is very much like Atrix, Bravo, Defy and even Backflip from Motorola. Only now w... moreNot true on samsung is not good on software.

Benchmark of S4 in stock vs touchwiz shows that touchwiz is actually faster and better.

Not only that, they are more efficient in using the hardware.

And one thing about samsung retaining physical buttons is a good job, it retains over 20% of more screen real estate, better for gaming/browsing etc. (The softkeys found in android suck big time)- Take a look at 4.2.2 tablet UI.. you will vomit blood on the waste of display.

With that in mind, plus the look of this device, it HAS to be cheap.. else will not even dent samsung's s4 sales.

Several year old designs with slith modifications from one to another.

S4 is a ugly design with a iphone-inspired physical button completely pointless in android.

This will hopefully bring new clear pixel image sensor technology. This type of sensor utilizes much more of the light and therefore performs much better in low-light.

Btw, one reason the S4 is a bad design because it uses FHD on a small screen so much of the HW is wasted on nothing.

Samsung use heavy HW, but never perform in SW. Their phones are always laggy.

More powerful CPU/GPU will not make any phone a game changer these days. It's the new camera and other smart features I suspect being the reson for Google and carriers claim of the Moto X being a game changer.

Doesn't look like a motorola phone at all!

It looks like a haste copy of samsung s4... with worse specs and battery! and when your using android, you need all the specs and battery you can get!

So this has to go cheap.. very cheap. maybe 250 or 200$.

2200 mah battery...!!!!???? Very very disappointing...!!! I was expecting at least 4000 mah battery pack providing the size of the phone. If Razr Maxx can hold up to 3300 mah then why not this phone. I had plans to buy it, but i am afraid not any more.

I am happy with my Razr Maxx, cause to me battery life matters the most..

You have disappointed us Motorola....
