Anonymous, 23 Jul 2013How will it outperform the bestselling, top-tier Galaxy S4 when it has a middle of the road CP... moreGalaxy S4 has a FHD small screen. This means it's wasting a lot of resources, particularly from the GPU to draw a very high resolution for nothing at all.
Moto X has a much more appropriate resolution according to it's screen size. It is retina, same as the FHD in the S4, but it does not waste resources.
They have the same GPU, but the S4 wastes a lot of it's resources over pointless resolution. Same with CPU, it takes much more power to do the same thing. CPU might score less in benchmarks for the Moto X, but in real life performance - and due to lower and appropriate screen resolution - it will perform fairly equal in demanding apps. The Moto X will more than likely perform better in demanding games.
Touchwiz is also very laggy. This is a design flaw and Sammy keeps trying to fix it with HW, when clearly they need to fix the SW.

AnonD-9150, 23 Jul 2013This is game changer. The bottom software keys of ICS era still the same OLD looks (ugly as hell, unmovable unchangeable).. i would have thought they come out of more exciting way to navigate.
Oh yea .. "game changer for picture taking"..
FIX THE DAMN UI already google! *facepalm*
This is game changer.
Anonymous, 23 Jul 2013Midrange phone gets new camera UI. Yawn. *Sent from my Galaxy S4*This mid-ranger will quite possibly outperform all current androids, especially on the camera bit. That's the exciting part.

-DaMasta, 23 Jul 2013Great!Never use digital zoom.
Now they can do the entire announcement collecting leaks.
Most of the camera UI ideas are copied from Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020. Moto X's mic will be always open so whatever you say goes to NSA, the camera is no special, there is dual core processor in this Android phone due to which it will lag like hell. Motorola phones are no longer special as it has been owned by Google, a greedy company which spy on your personal infos via it's Android OS and other Google stuff.
AnonD-167936, 23 Jul 2013no dedicated camera key, it just needs a quick shake in the hand and it activates the camera, ... moreGreat!
Stock Android camera is rubbish if you ask me. The one that i had with TouchWiz on Samsung's firmware was so much better functionality wise. It shows that Samsung also has experience with digital cameras where Google doesn't...
Hello Moto
funny to see the power players of the old phone days struggling in the smart phone market, cant believe how nokia went from the leader to nearly the bottom,
nokia ditch windows phone OS, make a phone with top specs and get back to the glory days, same for Motorola
-DaMasta, 23 Jul 2013Looks nice. Hope it has a dedicated camera key.no dedicated camera key, it just needs a quick shake in the hand and it activates the camera, touch anywhere on the screen to take pics or hold down for rapid pic shots, even better, to zoom in, just pinch to zoom and snap! easy breezy!
