joseby, 26 Jul 2013If you like a smartphone without any update! you are welcome to the world of Sony! that is for... moreIt is true that GS4 got the JB 4.2.2 but that doesn't mean Sony doesn't update their's. My little sister's Acro S is now on JB 4.1 so do not troll around if you do not know anything about a product. 4.2.2 doesn't really have that much of a difference with a 4.1 OS just like comparing a GS4 to an HTC One and now Sony will have 4.3 on their devices so at least I know GS4 will lag behind a bit for their old GS4 and that's for sure. They will only have 4.3 on the Note 3 and on the new GS4 with Snapdragon 800 before the old GS4 with Snapdragon 600 and Exynos 5 get the updates.

I very much hope that this latest of JB updates will be made available for the Xperia TX. Prior to that Sony has been making all the relevant updates available in the Middle East, since this phone is very capable and dependable, this latest of updates can only complement it and re-enforce confidence in the Sony brand.

leo5354, 26 Jul 2013@ Victor : Xperia S already have Jellybean update but it is buggy indeed. So your comment that... moreit is not buggy. just do not flash it by the flashtool and wait for getting the update for your device and your region officially

Samsony, 26 Jul 2013Xperia V is a fodder compared even to Xperia SP (excluding cam)And xperia sp is fodder to a puddle unlike xperia v! Dont underestimate the adreno 225 graphics in it as its still better than many! Also xperia t and v have their own styling unlike the sp which is basically for people who cant afford xperia z!

Kh 1@
No update to 4.3 JB. They are 2012/13 phones with good specs.

Same goes to Anarchy@

Why@
Why sony 6 devives and lg only one?

1 is a tablet, 1 is phablet, and 4 phones. ZL and ZR are not in my region YET or never will be ( Europe ), so there are only 2 phone devices getting 4.3 from Sony. What is this time a reason, that more than 6 other Sony phones will not get JB 4.3 treatment

Like i said Rubbish.

Ive had the jb update and the walkman bug update (.40) on my xperia t and mines totally branded with bootloader lock! Heres to hoping we get 4.3. I would be suprised if xperia s and p get 4.3 but anything could happen with sony! Out of the two, the xperia s has the better hardware for running 4.3 although both have 1gb ram - I think! What is this sleep of death I keep hearing of? Its worrying me as you cant remove xperia t battery! I know xperia v has problem but how true is it for mine? You hear all sorts of rubbish from trolling sammy fanboys so its hard to believe!

interesting, "@ Victor" it seems you have a branded phone, (one with a NON generic android).
see with branded phones (the ones you get on carriers), you get a branded android, one that is made by the carrier, or for the carrier, and this only gets updated when the carrier decides to, this android is different from the generic one, the generic one is the one that sony makes, what i seen inmy country, is that when you get a branded phone, you will be stuck with the android it came, you will NEVER get any update, unless you "debrand" the phone installing a generic android.
now, keep in mind that doing this, on certain countries will void your warranty, but most countries don't have any issues at all, so you should make sure your device is safe, or if its out of warranty go ahead :) .

carriers do this because the generic android lets you use the phone as originally intended by the maker, and some carriers charge for some uses the phone has, like tethering, or whatsapp, so they make a branded android where you cant share your data plan, and the only way to use certain apps is by having an active data plan, as an example, here they usually disable the NFC and the tethering, cause carriers sell wifi modems that connect to their 3G, so it hurts their business if you can just use your phone.
