marleymadcell, 28 Jul 2013the comments on here are made by really stupid people... it's not like android needs 8 cores..... moreDude it takes me 7-10 hours to render a 60 second real flow simulation on my PC with i7-3770k.
More professing power will bring games with rich graphics to the smartphone.
For everything else, dual core is enough.
the comments on here are made by really stupid people... it's not like android needs 8 cores... but it's there just the same way intel i7 is for windows, that being said, windows does not need four or more cores but having more cores just enhances the experience. ps. can believe people still comparing the power of arm vs x86, really?
do i have to carry my inverter to power these cores i am having trouble plz reply
Samsony, 28 Jul 2013Exynox 5420 stomps this any day any time any whereMaybe but Im pretty sure this will cost less. And will make Alcatel, Huawei, ZTE among many other Android Phones more powerful.
i don't give a sh*t on how many cores or what the speed of the processor have.... all I ever want to hear is the performance of the chip....
BULA BENIS, 28 Jul 2013i do not give a sh_t on all these cores!! give me a good mobile. i'll take nokia 808 pureviewWell said

You people are really comparing ARM architecture with x86 architecture? You people just made my day.
As I know, the big.LITTLE configuration can use all 8 cores at once. The option is there. In Exynos 5410 Samsung has chosen a cluster migration mode only, due to some development problems, but it could be made to run all cores at once. However, the new Exynos 5420 can do just that.
NeXT MaX, 28 Jul 2013She will get an ONE once shes contract ends. Me too. Im happy with SENSE more than she with... moreYes, HTC One is definitely better. I am also waiting for my contract to get end so I can upgrade it to HTC One or Butterfly S. My B butterfly S bcoz of its 3300 mAh battery. ;)
Martin132014, 28 Jul 2013Well, i think why they make it is to prove that they can...to prove to who make fake Octa vs t... moreYou never need more cores. My Desktop CPU which is a quad core is like 100 times as powerful as the S600 quad core. More cores can sometimes even mean less performance if you sacrifice core size just to make more cores. Especially if the application isn't capable of multi threading or can't utilize all cores properly. Like the browser described in the article: Only one core per tab is horrible.
[deleted post]But it's not only about the cores, it's about the overall architecture you tech illiterate lammer. If you run twice the cores at a quarter of speed with half the VRAM then the device will perform worse you lammer.
And MOAR COARS= BETTER especially doesn't apply to CPU tasks. The article itself literally says that, but i guess as tech illiterate you are you couldn't draw any conclusions from it.

Im happy with SENSE more than she with WIZ the other option was Nexus 4 but I see is better the HTC ONE. Lets see....
Well, i think why they make it is to prove that they can...to prove to who make fake Octa vs the real Octa core..someday maybe we need it, but i think not now..
Angel, 28 Jul 2013Agree. I guess they r using more cores just for Marketing and banchmark test. Not useful for t... moreI mean read through the article. THe article itself says how useless more cores are. they say that during browsing you can basically only use one core per tab, while the other 7 cores do basically nothing.
