I would never take a contract for 1.5 years couse u never now what to expect from HTC. Maybe a HTC Touch HD Pro (slide out keyboard)will come next year.
BTW i fell in love whit this phone from the moment they released leaked pics so im going to buy this for shure.

Why is everyone comparing this to an i-phone? Its like comparing a pure breed show dog with a mongrel! Pricing indications for sim free suggest this is going to be very similar to the cost of the Touch Pro.

This is cheaper than the 16gb iPhone.
You can only get the 16gb iphone on a £35 i... moreiPhone £159 + (18 months at £35) = £789
Touch HD = £80 + (18 months at £40) = £800
In fact, iPhone could be cheaper if you go for the £30 tariff (but you dont get much on that tariff) and going for 8gig iPhone would be cheaper still...

You can only get the 16gb iphone on a £35 if you pay £170, or £100 if you go on the £45 contract.

nick, 28 Oct 2008thats good news i guess, since im already on orange and im due an upgrade real soon!
Hope you've had some large bill with with Orange over the last few months, they don't seem to do you any favours with an upgrade. Chances are you'd be paying more than the £80 to get the HD on upgrade.... Hope I'm worng though!
