Sad Truth.., 31 Jul 2013WP8 need 1 core = Android need 4 cores WP8 need 2 cores = Android need 8 cores WP8 need 4 co... moreBetter processors, more ram and heat issues is androids problems why? It has many apps to run the programs. Those manufacturers are using windows are trying to save cost in hardware but still run faster than droid. Core i7 will run slower than atom if there are so many apps, add ons running at the same time
PARAG B, 31 Jul 20131) "Dont judge a book by its cover"i mean have u ever played asphalt 7 on l920 or u ... moreKindly tell us what issue you facing on your lumia? And also lumia you using?
Do you really understand CPU and GPU role for executing gaming? Dude start reading before commenting :)
Sad Truth.., 31 Jul 2013WP8 need 1 core = Android need 4 cores WP8 need 2 cores = Android need 8 cores WP8 need 4 co... moreHaha good one... I've always believed that the OS should be optimized to run as efficiently as possible on a set amount of cores and not depend on the amount of cores to be able to perform optimally.
WP8 need 1 core = Android need 4 cores
WP8 need 2 cores = Android need 8 cores
WP8 need 4 cores = Android need 16 cores..
So if WP8 has octa core.... Android need core i7 with heatsink?
Anonymous, 30 Jul 2013just a crying shame it's not rocking Jellybean to be honest .....You got the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom rocking with Jelly Bean, so is good to see options with the Lumia 1020, not the same mobile OS already everywhere like a virus.
why go and buy "no apps, no games" phone? if the feature is only about CAMERA?
PARAG B, 31 Jul 20131) "Dont judge a book by its cover"i mean have u ever played asphalt 7 on l920 or u ... moreAsphalt 7 runs smooth on my Lumia 920. Have you read the reviews? It gets 4.5/5 stars, that's better than on Android.
GPUs have way more affect on games than CPUs. iPhone 4S and 5 are only dual core and run all the games very smooth because of powerful GPUs. This is pretty much the same for PC gaming too. I have used them all from PC, Android, iOS, WP8. Even overclocked CPU and GPU on PC and CPU on Android before, so I know what I am talking about.
khaled fine, 30 Jul 2013why just daul core not quad core??????why not quad,,,,stupid question, why to have a big engine when to run as fast as others you need due to the system half processor, why to wast and overcreate a phone?

2) and dont tell me that cpu has nothing to do when we talk abt gaming ..i doubt that u even know the full form of cpu...lol...again u r also a HYPO CRITE fanboy...but i agree that it also needs a better GPU...
Anonymous, 30 Jul 2013just a crying shame it's not rocking Jellybean to be honest .....Nokia wake up its quad core time u r way behind
[deleted post]Asphalt 7 runs very smooth on WP8 actually. It has Xbox Achievements too, which iOS and Android don't have Xbox integration.
Quad core on WP8 won't increase its smoothness. Dual core on WP8 are already lag free and smoother than Android. A better GPU could help to increase FPS.
khaled fine, 30 Jul 2013why just daul core not quad core??????you should ask MS.
From the Chinese site, it looks like a Lumia 925 teardown, not the 1020...
[deleted post]If money is not a concern for you or even physical constraints. Company can put 1000000 cores if they want.
Unfortunately there is a limit on technology and resources.
Nokia can concentrate on other components because of a good OS: make better camera/ make better design.
Android phone makers are so sad.. they have to put all their resources into cores and MORE cores and have a toaster as a phone.. and in the end still LAGS and have junk storage (16gb craps that cost as much as an iPHONE!!), and inter- fighting among themselves having bloody noses.
khaled fine, 30 Jul 2013why just daul core not quad core??????'cause WP8's kernell still doesn't support quad core chips. But I heard there's one coming late this year to finally make quad core on WP8. I just hope that's true.
[deleted post]Yeah, I don't think the OS supports Quad-Core, which is the issue.
Please don't give us Quadcore until it does.
