Following the source link to "The Verge," I don't see their source of this "information."
When did Google make this announcement, and why haven’t I read something from an official source, since I’ve been scouring the web for Moto X information lately? I find it hard to believe that Google/Motorola will take the Moto X’s mediocre hardware and sell it running stock Android. Motorola has defended the mediocre specs, explaining exactly how and why this phone is much more than the sum of its parts.

To sell the phone with stock Android would eliminate the active listening that makes the phone “touch free,” the “contexual awareness” it touts, the “Active Notifications” that spare battery life, and it would make the custom X8 processor a waste of space. This is so outlandish, I’d be surprised to see it happen. But, hey, they’re selling two Play Edition phones that have IR blasting hardware without any IR blasting software drivers, so I guess anything can happen.
I wish i had the money to buy google's for produced smartphone

" it's unlikely though that google would offer the moto x in any other color option other than the standard black and white" - then why are you posting a pic of all kinds of colors phones along with your article?!

Motorola always disappoint their users, they said that Moto x will be a super phone but it isn't. Motorola doesn't even have a quad-core phone just like the other. Some other phone even start to use octa-core.

We're working to bring devices to more countries as quickly as possible.
Please check back again soon."
Where the f.ck do you think I live?? NARNIA??
I'll get one when they make it IP67 rated and unlock the bootloader. I'm still using my 3-year old Defy which is IP67 (tough) and running JB 4.3 from Cyanogen with great performance.
No matter what people says the Moto X beat on benchmarks even some of your best phone HTC One, GS4(octa) or GS4(S600) CPU.
Only 10MP camera but beat all your best camera phone.
Best design and personalisation and 18 colors.
Flexible screen Gorilla glasse.
Touchless phone with Google Now acting for you.
24h00 to use with only a batterie of 2200mah
And a S4 Pro CPU that perform almost like or even better in some point then the GS4(octa).
Moto X for the brst experance.
Just say the Magic word " Google Now".
