Flash is only useful as torch light.

On 99% of phones in low light capture little to nothing without a flash. Especially an 8mp in a 6.5mm device. That is reality admit or not. These tiny pixels and sensors need all the light they can get. Claiming otherwise is foolish. Excluding a flash and giving it a tiny non removable battery just to make it a little thinner was a sour move on a great idea
Sony is all about passion to quality, make.believe!...Dont even be shocked at sony's come back, its just obvious they are called to kings of electronics!...:-)

Thank you for being one of the few sane people here who is willing to admit that LED flashes suck, and are virtually useless. Usually the photo looks better dark than washed out via the LED flash.
Incidentally, the LED flash will end up the ONLY thing the Note 3 has over the Z Ultra. Maybe that's why these fanboys are attaching so much importance to it.
AnonD-170966, 02 Aug 2013Honestly, whoever buys a phablet based on the led flash should go and see a doctor. That thing... moreWhat a load of crap. It's lack of flash is a huge deal. This is a 2013 flagship phablet. Not some old outdated feature phone.....some of which indeed had flashes. Yes it's a great device, but lack of a flash and a under powered nn removable battery are two large draw backs. Claiming flash useless? A screen suffices? It's only used as a flash light? It doesn't help low light pictures? Are you high? You're obviously a Sony extremist that cannot accept fact.
AnonD-76058, 02 Aug 2013is there any company make a camera without led flash ?
yes: SONY !Is there a company use camera without led flash?
Yes=samsung (note 8.0)
Yes= asus nexus 7 (the old nexus 7 is not having a rear camera ) lolllll
Honestly, whoever buys a phablet based on the led flash should go and see a doctor. That thing is meaningless (well, might be used as flashlight when you are searching for your keys, but a 6,4" screen with a light background - yes some flaslight apps can do that too - would give enough light for a crapy flaslight). Photos taken with led flash are useless on any mobile phone anyway. You guys always found something to cry and complain about. Too big bezel, no flash, rubish plastic material, too big, too small etc. Bet you never even had a flagship phone of your own.
PS Those who blames sony, they better keep in mind that it's the only company what gives the top hardvare in smaller screen (XpZR). I'm sure you guys will find something bad in that one too. LOL
loving that device still waiting to get mines. With the minor update improvements is no biggy. Now the device runs even smoother.
Wow! So quick! Sony is getting more aggressive about updates. That's awesome. Hope Honami will have a large sensor size and a xenon flash.

Still way too big for my pockets..not to mention the meagre battery and lack of flash, I really loved Sony, but I think the Honami will fit my needs perfectly~

Updated my z ultra last night with this firmware but this is still not the supposed official/commercial ultra firmware. UI is old and the same with z/zl. Still missing some of key features like x-reality, small keyboard, menu at right side of application window, etc..
The moment Z Ultra was officially announced I knew that LG takes the third place in smartphones for 2013. Sony is nut even trying to do well anymore, everything after Z has been a decline. I'm sure they do something to cripple the i1 too. Bye bye Sony, you šûćk.

As long as we agree on crippled it doesnt matter much wrist we call it, I'm ashamed to be Xperia enthusiast now, this phone just isn't fit for fight, what is Sony doing!
All this Phones with powerful S800 Chipset like the GS4, Note3,Xperia Z Utra aren't using the full power of this CPU.
Moto X8 chipset teach you all a lesson how to optimazed by making a old CPU as useful as the latest one if not even more useful in the display department and more.
Amazing benchmark performence.
