Samsung know this too that they need to bring the updates for S3 and Note II but I believe you are not aware that Samsung is in process to upgrade Note II directly with Jelly Bean 4.3 skipping 4.2.2 version which is why I believe they are seeding the 4.2.2 to the Galaxy Grand. I am sure soon we will have 4.3 upgrade available for Note II and S3 as well. Till then enjoy with 4.1 as 4.1 is quite good too.
Hey guys ,Samsung has officialy announced that they are going 2 skip 4.2.2 update for note2 and instead they gonna directly provide 4.3 , So guys chill...
Note II User, 09 Aug 2013How about samsung galaxy note 2? when will it get an update? same here i am also using galaxy note 2 when will the 4.2.2 of jelly bean be available
really a big shame for samsung no one can ever imagine a phone which is sold for 20k is getting updates but a phone which is a major hit is not getting a single update. no one should ever buy or trust samsung
thank you samsung im rlly disappointed. s3 and note 2 deserve an update
Bunyip22, 08 Aug 2013It's still an insult. The note 2 was Samsung's top phone and should have received 4.2 a long t... moreI cant agree more. As far as now we ve seen the update to less important devices and the ones that should have it first still waiting. I call this a shame.I bought the galaxy s3 mini last December which came out of the box with 4.1 so I physically thought it would be one of the first to be updated. .This is getting on my nerves!
Holy shit! Samsung is doing just ridiculous job, grand got the update which is mid range phone and been recently launched. Note 2 which is their flagship model still stuck at 4.1. Shameless samsung.
Wew.... I'm hoping that s3 and s3 mini will get the last update but the Android is 4.3
Shame on you Samsung... even the mid range Galaxy Grand is getting a JB 4.2 update, while there is still no confirmed date for JB 4.3 update for their previous flagship phone S3 or for the Note 2
This is a shocking strategy. Maybe they want to limit functionality of S3, so that more people buy the new S4
Bunyip22, 09 Aug 2013The note 2 has only had 1 minor version upgrade in 12 months (4.1.1 to 4.1.2) which is patheti... moreSad part is now a days Premium phones can hold their status only for few months and in case of Samsung this is much worse as within few months they go on releasing different models so a premium model lose its glory within few months. And regarding updates it's a psychological satisfaction nothing more as there is not much difference in updates and the features added are not used by all.
Anonymous, 09 Aug 2013LOL. No one is comparing Samsung Grand with Micromax Canvas HD. After the update, camera quali... moremediatek doesnt even have developers support, if micromax stops updating ur phones its dead forever, the galaxy grand will get full support from the XDA community untill keylime pie.
How many apps can this mediatek phone support? i remember testing those cheap chinese quadcore mediatek phones in the philippines, and theres many apps that it doesnt support or just doesnt work.
And god their cameras are awfull to.
WAP7, 09 Aug 2013When can i except 4.2.2 for my Samsung Galaxy GT I9100 i.e. S2 ??The note 2 has only had 1 minor version upgrade in 12 months (4.1.1 to 4.1.2) which is pathetic considering that it has been their premium phone for most of that time.
I am a Samsung fan but the slow firmware updates and insistence on releasing 16GB only phones is PATHETIC!
EDIT: This was actually a reply to Parbinder.
Anonymous, 09 Aug 2013Lol an android phone dead by 8th month. R.I.Pits a midrange phone, what other mid range phones will get full support for over 1 year?
