Awesome Display !! Looks pretty great deal. Results are very clear and astounding !!
Worth putting all those SONY techs in Smartphone. Awesome work Sony !!
True ! I am huge fan of Amoled. And i use a Super Amoled Plus screen on my tablet. But lets face it! The brightness isn't that good or the outdoor visibility and the battery drain in to damn high when browsing the web or on using facebook aka. *white screens* , but The colour saturation in awesome. :)
Super AMOLED has the same saturated and vibrant colors also the black levels are far superiour than the grey blacks on the triluminos
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2013In second photo HTC obviously has greater brightness...XZ Ultra has more better in viewing angle then the htc one
AnonD-77402, 10 Aug 2013in the first pic sony display is better in the rest the htc one is better.... my opinion.... Note the contrast on the other pictures, your opinion may change.
great job Sony! awesome display, now I'm waiting for Honami this XZ ultra is too big for me :-D
The shoddy screen was the only reason I didn't buy the Xperia Z. If they put a nicer screen like the one shown in the honami, they'd have a customer. :-D
Pit it against the note 3 when it launches. That'll be interesting.
What do good-looking phones have in common? They have BIG bezels. Nokia Lumia, HTC One, Sony Xperia and the iPhone. Ugly phones like Samsung and LG has thin bezels.
My HTC One's screen is perfect. There is no purple or blue tinge whatsoever. And it's super bright. Whites are also pure. There is no discoloration. Contrast is super high. I can't even tell it apart from an AMOLED screen.
AnonD-128077, 10 Aug 2013sony bravia engine software (now x-reality) are known to produce unnatural red color:) you know i love both phones, and i really love the HTC one unibody aluminum design and front speakers when it came out- i was also blown away. but if there are unnatural hues in XZ Ultra (which i currently own now), it may probably be a tiny tiny tinge of yellow. But i will still stick to my opinion that HTC one has an unnatural purplish bluish hue. The pictures show it.
AnonD-124721, 10 Aug 2013The purplish bluish hue of the HTC One is not natural. sony bravia engine software (now x-reality) are known to produce unnatural red color
