Get a Tab 7.0" and put it next to an iPad Mini. At 7.9" the iPad Mini is miles better. Steve was right. A 7" tablet is too small, and that's why the Mini ISN'T 7 INCHES.
I wasn't talking about 7.7" tablets. You're arguing with yourself. You haven't said anything to prove my point wrong.
The iPad Mini isn't a 7" tablet. It's really an 8" tablet (technically 7.9"). And really, who can tell the difference of 0.1"?
Again, Apple doesn't make a 7" tablet. The Mini is 8". If you want to get technical, say 7.9", which is really 8".

I got the Note 8,which outdoes the mini and has more features than mere browsing. Excellent for drawing with its integrated Wacom digitizer. Expensive, "ugly", but the digitizer isn't present in any other lighter tablets.
Of course apple sheeps will keep saying they don't need things like a floating app or widget, not to talk about a multitasking button or a decent file manager.
But when it eventually gets into their device they start screaming innovation left and right.
Don't get me wrong the iPhone is a cool device but its for people with limited imagination.
The iPhone 5 was a big let down. I hope the 5s will be better.

Nearly every new product launch by apple, iphone ipad ipadmini push the way in the market and everyone follows it. Just like samsung with its note series.
Sad that samsung have to copy ipad mini with note 8.0 toy.. that one is ugly with buttons... they could have revived the tab 7.7 series which is very good.

Don't forget, Samsung also came out with 8.9" tablets. Get your head off the sand. Therefore Apple was never first in either 7" or 8" ranges.
Apple did milk it with the iPad mini being the market after Jobs. The specs just good enough, with impressive battery usage life, but as limited as any other Apple devices.
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2013I am using S4 and I don't find it compact. The S4 is very small considering it has a 5" screen.
Obviously it isn't as compact as my iPhone 4S. But my iPhone 4S isn't as compact as a Galaxy Pocket. And that's not as compact as a Nokia 1100. And that's not as compact as a Quarter. And a quarter isn't as compact as a dime. But a dime isn't as compact as a nickel.
First thing I thought when I held an S4 was how compact and light it was for a 5" phone.

sure they have stuck with similar products and features ... moreYou have more customers having issues with Android OS than Android OS??
I take it you mean, more people have issues with android that iOS devices.
I think that's expected and most of those issues aren't android issues, most I think may be manufacturer crap bloat UI they out over android issues.
I feel that the best Android to buy is a Nexus phone. May not have the top specs, but I think it will give you the next android experience with the least problems.

Some apps run in the background that need to push information to you. Facebook, twitter, radio apps like TuneIn Radio, etc etc. all those apps either run in the background and or give you real time notifications. They never fail.
Some things pause in the background. For example, if I am watching YouTube and I close the app. That pauses. Or if I am opening a website and close the browser. That pauses
My use of the phone has never been hindered by things pausing.
I'm not sure what you guys are talking about when you say the phone can't multitask.
Are you talking about playing a video while you're texting and things like that?
I don't know. I wouldn't want to watch a floating video while I'm focusing on having a conversation with somebody.
iFAIl again
If you haven't tried 5" smartphone, try it for a day...
apple revolutionised the smartphone.
sure they have stuck with similar products and features but its only recently that android devices have started getting the upper hand. i have a s4 and a iphone at close proximity at all times. i prefer the iphone for somethings but prefer the s4 for others.
to say that apple is crap technology is utterly rediculas.
btw i work in a phone shop. im not claiming to know all, BUT in my shop i have a LOT more customers having issues with android OS than Android os.
just saying

Put a Tab 7 next to an iPad Mini and the difference is obvious. The Tab 7 is too small.
The iPad mini is essentially an 8" tablet (7.9" to be exact).
amas, 12 Aug 2013who needs more than 4'' phone screen? its too big and I don't want to put a "tablet"... moreMe.
A 4" screen is way too small.
4.7"-5.0" is perfect and compact. Have you ever held an HTC ONE or GS3/4 in your hands? It's the perfect size for a usable screen. Also Samsung has the split screen apps so you can tile 2 apps on the screen. Very useful for screens that are 5".
4" iPhone screen is tiny, especially when you look at pictures because they iPhone crops the sides and you're still looking at them as if you were in a 3.5" screen.
