A friend of mine had this Samsung OMNIA he bought it in Hongkong. I tell you this phone is rockin' great the touch screen is not so sensitive, not smooth scrolling at all, OS tab of the windows are too small when I touch on screen it doesn't react right away, too complicated, still needed stick, I still love my God giving GSM the iPhone.

no wonder that samsung keep away from europe it's high ends. they have for two years 10 megapixel mobile on korean market. but because brainless europeans keep on buying nokias like sheeps, samsung,lg,panasonic can't compete with high selling numbers of cheap plastic nokia and don't waste maoney to bring here what can they do better. stop buying nokia and iphone like stupid sheeps and you'll see samsung rising up. look at panasonic who stop production of mobiles for european market, and look what panasonic do now for ntt docomo in japan!!!

            I do not wonder why...?

Because Samsung was paid to keep it ´low´.
An Omnia with these specs would have blown everything out of water - like V3 few years ago. The industry learned its lesson.

NEW TEchnology has to be spoon fed to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whether its a T-omnia or Omnia,,,i had the omnia for 6 weeks now,the touch screen is horrible, you cant compare it with any HTC touch screen model.not to mention the owful stylus with no place to attach..
in simple words... its not worth it...very very poor performance...it looks good though, but its not practical to use at all

However this time they supported the koreans with better quality screen and dNse sound system... i guess it is just a point of view really... no right or wrong.

mike, 03 Nov 2008Samsung only uses that code because it is only used in korea. If you see the specs it does not... moresorry my mistake. other countries do use "SCH" if they have CDMA networks. But for some reason in korea even though it is not an CDMA phone they use the "SCH" code. Please don't ask me why.

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2008Samsung T*OMNIA is actually CDMA version of Samsung Omnia. the code (SCH-M490/SCH-M495) tells... moreSamsung only uses that code because it is only used in korea. If you see the specs it does not support CDMA. It supports HSDPA 2100 and Quad band GSM. So therefore this is not a CDMA phone. Korea only uses 2100HSDPA and CDMA networks thesedays but this phone only supports 2100HSDPA in Korea.

Samsung T*OMNIA is actually CDMA version of Samsung Omnia.
the code (SCH-M490/SCH-M495) tells the nature of this phone.
(as far as i know SGH-*** = GSM network, SCH-*** = CDMA network)

so, this news shouldn't be posted here in first place, since this website is "GSM-Arena" not "CDMA-Arena" LOL.
