Wow a 5.2 screen. This things just prove that people want bigger screen. Why do companys keep making bigger screen if no one buys it? Every one wants bigger screen......
[deleted post]You don't know anything about good design. Look at phones with great designs like the iPhone, Sony Xperia, HTC One and Nokia Lumia. All of them have huge bezels. Look at cheap-designed phones like Samsung, LG and most chinese phones. They have thin bezels.
with those massive bezels n brick thickness of lumia phones, it will weigh around 300 gms... good luck nokians ;)
AnonD-51384, 14 Aug 2013Sorry! Spare me! This processor is pretty weak.ok dude,,,dont buy,,,,nd shut up ..
Windows 7 used to suck on lowend hardware but when Microsoft updated it to Windows 8 it is now amazingly fast even on i3. Feelis like you're running on i7. Most Macbooks are using dualcore processor as well. Modern operating systems don't need more than dualcore. Only a primitive, resource-hog and badly coded operating systems like Android would need a quadcore and more to run fast and smooth.
Now Nokia is going in the same direction as other manufacturers. There was no need of 5.2" screen, Lumia 820 is already at the sweet spot with 4.3". All they had to do is give Lumia 820 a bigger battery, gorilla glass, 16 GB storage with card slot and Lumia 720's camera and call it Lumia 825 to make it a big success. I don't get the idea of quad cores and bigger screens with just 8 GB internal memory in so many mid range phones including android and windows phones. I don't know what the manufacturers are thinking but they should change this.
To all those commenting about low specs and outdated hardware, don't you realize that this is WP not android? I run a lumia 620 with a 1ghz dual core and 512mb ram and there is absolutely no lag or stutter. Let alone a quad core device. Diffent OS require different levels of hardware. It is a well known fact that android is a power hungry beast so android phones must have high specs in order to reduce the lag/stutter.
AnonD-51384, 14 Aug 2013Sorry! Spare me! This processor is pretty weak.Yes. This processor is weak to run a sluggish OS like Android but is more than enough for an efficient modern OS like Windows Phone. When will people realize that not all OS's need the same huge amount of processing power?
With Nokia usual bezel this will be a huge device. here I am tired of putting my Gs3 in my pocket and the world is making phones with double size.
AnonD-127556, 14 Aug 2013What about Samsung????hahaha...
AnonD-171341, 14 Aug 2013wow... another lumia?? nokia really doesnt know when to stop lolWhat about Samsung????

AnonD-51384, 14 Aug 2013Sorry! Spare me! This processor is pretty weak.Who cares about you?
Mus, 14 Aug 2013???? do u know that s4 mini and htc one mini uses duel core version of s400?? while this uses ... moreTotally Agreed
It's been more than a year WP8 is out and guess what? It still lacks so many basic features. Microsoft isn't doing their job. Believe me or not, Stephen Elop is a cold blooded person who can so anything for money and i knew it when i was working on Microsoft as a software developer. Now, Microsoft isn't bringing major features to their OS which it lacks today and they have a reason not to do so. The reason is Microsoft thinks that by not bringing the basic features to their OS they can easily get Nokia's profit down so much that the Finnish giant would want to sell off and when that happens Microsoft will buy Nokia. Stephen Elop truly is a Trojan horse and if he does his job right, Microsoft will heavily pay him. Unfortunately, Nokia's board aren't pressuring on CEO Stephen Elop. Nokia should immediately acquire Jolla and continue their excellent work on MeeGo OS or perhaps merge MeeGo with Symbian but it's not possible as long as Stephen Elop is the CEO. I feel sorry for Nokia.
AnonD-87222, 14 Aug 2013Wow, a 720p 5.2 inch screen? 4 low end cores on a single/dual-threaded platform? Just wow.. Wh... more???? do u know that s4 mini and htc one mini uses duel core version of s400?? while this uses quadcore version of s400 and its a windows phone not an android phone..so it will squeeze more power than android phones.
so that's pretty damn powerful
My future Phone!!
People, it is not a flagship or 9xx series. So don't expect snapdragon 800.
WP will run smoothly on snapdragon 400 too, if it runs good on snapdragon s4pro dual core.
Best would be if it were 5" and Snapdragon 800. And not this processor so weak! Nokia still missing ugly!
what to do wid large screen.4.5" is enough. what really count is feather, nice apps and smooth running os and user friendly.and of course battery power
