The thing I don't understand is why this went to a single-cpu. All versions of the N95 and even the N82 had two ARM CPUs and graphic acceleration. The N96 has a single CPU and no graphic acceleration? I just don't see how Nokia can warrant this price tag at all.

n95 is way better thn n96, i wish i would hv nvr bought it,

secouric, 05 Nov 2008I say forget this phone and go N85.You got that right "secouric" why the hell did this phone come out? if you're a nokia fan, go with N85. Think N85 is one of the best phones on the market, cheaper than INNVO8. But I personally like WM phones with touch screen. Just read an article on Asia markets, and they are planning on dropping the prices on full touch screen phones in the near future~ COME ON PRADA II!! (hope it has WM7.0)

As far as I know almost all the OS's are North American, and Linux? I think so. But if you can see all the laptops and most computers (and their components) are manufactured in Japan, China, Korea or even Taiwan, everything from screens, batteries, memory modules, sound chips, etc. Just visit all those three Asian countries you'll see. Did you know that 3G is the only network platform in Korea, and it was first developed by the Japanese? And that they (Japanese) already use 4G (HSUPA) now? In fact Europeans and Americans make software and Asians make both software and hardware. So do you see that Asians can really survive and advance without anything from the West if they opt to?

I like every 1 else waited patiently 4 this phone. Much to my disappointment, the phone was a dud. I have had 3 and sent them back. All had soft ware faults. all froze or had trouble handling operations. Not happy. Three other people I know had same problems and with different providers. Sorry but very disappointed
