I bought this phone in Thailand last month.
It IS upgradeable (microSD), gets software updates from OPPO (already had one OTA update for some fixes). The dual SIM is both lines active at the same time (not switching on and off). Battery life compares to iPhone 4 and 5. It's a nice phone, great screen. I paid EUR200 approx.
Jo, 20 Aug 2013I also think that Oppo did a really good job with R819. Check out this comparison with iPhone ... moreThis is the comparison with iPhone 5:

''The handst is just 7.3mm thick and is a featherweight at just 110g, quite impressive for a phone with a 4.7" screen." handst? GSMArena, update your article. Coming to the device, it's a fine mid range phone. Only thing it lacks is the storage slot. Anyway.. Good phone.
Also available on european oppostyle web store for 269 euro. Don't just copy news.
How about the idea of having a dual microsd card slot for all the space hungry geeks?
This phone is listed on the oppostyle.com website for pre-order, priced at EUR 269, for shipment early September.
AnonF-85937, 19 Aug 2013A decent mid range Android, 1GB RAM, HD720P display, 16GB non expandable and avg. camera.
... moreSamsung Galaxy S3 LTE is much more expensive. Besides we are talking here about dual-SIM smartphones. Most of the dual-SIM (KIRF, China made, you name it) smartphones have low quality build and they are not so well optimized on OS side. But OPPO did a great jod and build quality seems decent. Color ROM is something else, it got some aces in hand ...you should checkout on YouTube about Color ROM, not to say that it got OTA updates. It would be nice if it had 2GB of RAM though.
will it support native 3G video call?
Anonymous, 19 Aug 2013Does stock android means this phone will get instant update like Nexus phones when a new andro... moreno...the code is compiled by google to Nexus devices only..though not play editions - they come from and are compiled by Htc and Samsung, not Google...for this phone it is done by Oppo

Does stock android means this phone will get instant update like Nexus phones when a new android version is released?
