I Predict 12th October - HTC one X update for india.
Guys.. do you realize that you are posting comments in a website that is not connected to any brand and that your rants wont be seen by any brand representative but only fellow users? So you must also know that these comments wont make any difference in ota roll out schedule.
And regarding the ota, unlike htc one it wont reach you in two weeks. Assuming it follows the htc butterfly update pattern(July 9 taiwan, Sept 4 india), just dont start checking for updates before October.
Crybabies all around.
AnonD-163400, 17 Sep 2013They are not going to update HTC ONE x any time soon so better we stop dreaming about the upda... moreFYI ....there will be nothing to sell....
What about the new Sony Experia?
AnonD-163400, 17 Sep 2013They are not going to update HTC ONE x any time soon so better we stop dreaming about the upda... moreGood luck with your next phone and please leave this post..
They are not going to update HTC ONE x any time soon so better we stop dreaming about the update and guys please don't buy HTC phones from next time and spread this news to everyone...
I'm going to sell my hox and would be planning to buy LG G2 or note 3...hox having so many issues the biggest is the battery issues and overheating temp goes to 58 degree,,, this is dangerous and battery lasts about only 2 hrs when using continuously backup is pathetic and no multitasking is annoying thats y I was waitining for the update even the phones like Micromax and karbon u will find real multitasking...HTC is pathetic..HTC is already financially weak as HTC ONE is not selling well and if they don't change their attitude they will be sold like Nokia ...
I have seen a review of LG G2 the battery backup is awesome.
I don't think Samsung too is doing any better than HTC in this issue, my SIII too is still stuck on Android 4.2.1.
That's it.... Next phone Samsung .... HTC lost another customer after 10 years of loyal support ... Wonder if they will still be around in another 10 years time... :(
How the heck it take so long?? I will never buy another htc!
I contacted the service centre they said it will come in India in November end....this is pathetic...
One month is about to complete from initial update to hox still no signs of update,,it seems that we have to wait one more month to get the update in India as in case of HTC butterfly it took 2 months to update 4.2 in India...
To hell with such an update and such company which takes 3 months to update their old flagship device is of no more imporatnce and when we will getting the update Google would have already launched 4.4 kitkat....so we are already far behind the latest updates...phones like Micromax,,lava,,karbon have launched their phones with 4.2.2 who's price is between 6-15k which makes fun of HTC who is not able to update their phone which costs us 36k which is very much costly...so at present we can't say that hox is a flagship device anymore coz phones priced as low low as 6k running
4.2.2
Anonymous, 16 Sep 2013Late update is acceptable. But no further update to kitkat is totally unacceptable, especially... moreYes dude, we don't afford to buy a flag ship device every year, for each & every andriod update.....HTC shud think tht every single customer is worth
still no update for cid_044 HOX :( in pakistan btw and well seriously htc should change their update policy.

Hello guyz, after i've updated my mobile, i have been experiencing a single problem.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2013I donno why people are worried like this, updates take time and that too for an open source pl... moreAgree but the point is ... How much is too much? No one likes to be treated second hand IMO. S3 has been on 4.2.2 for a long time now where hox is still on 4.2.1. If you are trying to justify their side by saying they do a good job by rolling out quality updates...I beg to differ on behalf of people who have been crying since the last update because it took away a considerable chunk of their storage during the last roll out. A community forum is for both - clients and consumers. There is no point sitting with the hope that HTC will one fecking day plan to roll it out India...why such step behaviour is the sole concern. I don't have to prove a point in making them aware of the Indian cellular market. Plus, its not about the products alone...visit their social channels and I bet if they reply to you and they are gaga about social campaigns saying here's to change o_O. Woot.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2013I donno why people are worried like this, updates take time and that too for an open source pl... moreLate update is acceptable. But no further update to kitkat is totally unacceptable, especially if Samsung rolls out such an update for galaxy s3. HTC should respect the interests of its customers. Afterall one cannot expect a customer to buy a flagship device every year. They are not that cheap.
I'm using htc products from last 5 years & now I think this will b my last product of HTC, other mobile giants like apple & sumsung always care they old customers rather cathing up new customers ios 7 jst launched & thy hav promised to all old customers tht thy will b an update very soon to old models, & Samsung is always been gud with the updates to their old models & customers Thn why HTC is not caring to they customers tht to not very old.....it was the flagship model for the last year
I always loved HTC products for they better look & feel in os with their sense, but now I dnt feel gud at all with thr policy why is India always treted like this, India is largest in using cell phones comparing other countries...HTC shud bettr take some step regarding the sense 5 update to htc one x & x+ very soon or else thy will loose many of the fans of HTC products
