More important would be the ability to choose voice call ringtones and text message ringtones from the music folder on the phone without having to use some stupid app to add them or having to cut an mp3 down for this purpose.
Apple are just as guilty in this with their iphone 5.
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2013Oh come on. Elop ain't that bad. Stop blaming that Microsoft guy and i can tell you Ubuntu wil... moreWish it was, but I doubt there isn't even exist
plan B or Sailfish OS for Nokia.
Appetite..........well that can be fulfilled by feeding.
so perhaps it is going to be a HTC blinkfeed type "feed" service.
or may be it is just the notification center, considering that too "feeds" you with the information
AnonD-170682, 23 Aug 2013Common guys, file manager? seriously?? file manager just for old phone OS. This is Smartphone... moreYou do need a file manager because half the apps can't manage the files you have on your phone properly. A file manager would allow you to see all you files in one place and easily share them via whatever. Try emailing a PDF that's on your phone. You can't do it, but if you had a file manager you could easily get to it and send it from there. This notion that "smart" somehow means removing the building blocks of an OS is ridiculous. You don't see Windows without one and you certainly don't see Mac OS without one.

file manager just for old phone OS. This is Smartphone... more+1
I was a bit cautious when I got my L920 because of lack of file manager, but you're right. Nearly a year in, and so far I've never needed it once. Everything is exactly where it's supposed to be, already.
Notification center isn't really all that necessary when you have live tiles, but I suppose it couldn't hurt.
People that can't accept these things and whine about 'lack of this' or 'but android that', are usually late adopters of innovative products anyway. WP is only going to get stronger.
Common guys, file manager? seriously??
file manager just for old phone OS. This is Smartphone OS. It called "smart"phone OS coz they can manage file automatically.
We don't need file manager, just go Nokia and Microsoft. I already satisfied with my Lumia.
we want file manager for god sake !! and let the folders copied from pc with songs ,pictures, videos, to be seen direct in the gallery, like android do !!! no more playlists for music.

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2013Oh come on. Elop ain't that bad. Stop blaming that Microsoft guy and i can tell you Ubuntu wil... moreHe axed meego is one of the main reason i hate him....he may not be culprit but i just get angry on reading his name for what choices nokia took under him...
AnonD-156746, 23 Aug 2013Not till trojan elop is CEO of nokia....Oh come on. Elop ain't that bad. Stop blaming that Microsoft guy and i can tell you Ubuntu will misreably fail. Nokia has a plan B and that's Sailfish OS, the continuation of MeeGo legacy.
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2013What about file manager, native video call support, backward and forward buttons in IE, More v... moreFile manager and no forward button in the browser(there is a back key) are the only that really exist,wp8 uses exact same type of multitasking as in ios and it also leaked that gdr3 will improve the existing multitasking,so a lumia with same ram as iphone 5 will be able to run as many apps the iphone, and wp8 supports every video format except .mkv and .flv....
Nokia in wp8 gdr3 update we want new notification bar. And new app
