How long has it been since Sony announced 4k video recording. Do u all haters think that's enough time for Samsung to copy such feature onto 20 mill or so units. Announcing it first doesn't mean u did it first. THINK
I was expecting such a feature on LG G2 (it's among S800 hardware possibilities).. Got disappointed. Kudos to Samsung for pushing mobile recording. If it was only up to Apple, 2MP was more than enough for a mobile with crap sub-vga recording according to them a few years ago.
Thanks to external sd, people can add more storage for their videos. Personnaly I only record in 720p or 1080p depending if it's important or not, for now. I will definitely push to 4K when i'll get a compatible phone.
If people were doing same, we would get less crap quality "witness" videos on youtube or TV news for example..
The 4k video seems a bit of overkill on a phone that will eat up memory. What I do love is the increased sound quality and minimum storage of 32GB. People are using their phones more and more for their mobile computing and entertainment needs so we need more memory. Bigger better HD screens, more powerful processors, better cameras and better sound quality all are welcome.
Looking forward to the recent trend from the S4 and Iphone5 for better bundled headphones to enjoy the improved sound quality. When you spend so much money on a phone, don't expect to have to spead additionally for high end headphones.
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2013NO ois??? no way..........I really dont think OIS comes with Note III as they are coming on galaxy S5. All the feature from S galaxy will be brought to Note series. Like the S3 and Note 3, except the pen features
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2013Leaks some Samsung news, and haters are ready for attack.
haters are welcome..if all of you get enough experiences.
how many device you used every year?..or you just buy only one device, test them for 5 years..
if you dont want to use it just dont....
its not a reason to hate the device cry babies
2K=1920 pixels×1080 lines (2.1 megapixel)
4K=3840 pixels × 2160 lines (8.3 megapixels)
8K=7680 pixels × 4320 lines (33.2 megapixels)
If hardware (ie.chip set)supports 8K, then nokia is able to provide 8K video.So there is not a necessity to hav 4K video in phones....but its a good sign of innovation towards 4K video recording....I must say instead of providing 4K they shud provide 1080p in higher frame rates(like 128frame per seconds). Samsung its not ur innovation Ok.
(Think what the size 4K video is taking---8.3mpx*__frames/sec.....so necessity of having more memory size)
we dont even use full hd ! most of people use HD only why should i use a 4k video !! which is 4 x full hd resolution ! whats the point !
add OIS add Xenon flash add better sensor as the lumias but dont multiply a full hd by 4 !!!

copy >> copy>> And copy.........its the innovationWould you mind explaining what "innovation" really means? I would: it means absolutely nothing. A buzz word. There are no "innovations", there are "inventions" though. When one invents, one adds to the world, enriches it somehow with the new and spectacular (graphene for example). When one innovates, one artificially elevates oneself above all mediocrity, psychologically that is.
Having said that; if you're trying to bash Samsung, at least do it right next time.

This IS really great job,Samsung...
Galaxy Note III will will also offers higher-quality audio playback.This means the phablet will support 24-bit/192KHz sound compared to the 16-bit audio (CD quality) supported by all Galaxy smartphones to date.
Do it same next Galaxy S5 model!.
note III - expecting a ultra new design,different from the previous s4 and note 2.
