I am quite interested in such a phone.
1) I been using a smart phone but find a lot of the "smart" features objectional, Especially as they get turned back on everytime the OS is updated.
2) my experience with smart phones have them amazingly fragile. They fail the FIRST time they are dropped. My experience with nokia bar phones have them surviving many drops.
3) I's rather have a small tablet rather than a phone for most smart phone functions. unfortunatly large screened smart phones are VERY expensive to buy and to operate.
After a very disappointing software experience with nokia 301 dual sim, i will stay away from non lumia nokia's
ARA M, 28 Aug 2013Same specification almost as my Classic Nokia 6700c but my one is 16k million colors and this ... moreGood point... Nokia always mess something up!
They've got a great niche product here which could be a sleeper hit, but ruin it (once again) by missing out on WLAN and a decent display :-(
My next phone for sure. I still have my sirocco since way back and i still love it but this i will definitely buy
Same specification almost as my Classic Nokia 6700c but my one is 16k million colors and this one is 256k colors plus no WLAN ( Wireless Connectivity ).
Why didn't they release this phone a few years ago?
I've always like small phones and went from Nokia 6520 to Sony w880i and back to Nokia E51, E52, Nokia 700... but they always deliberately put a problem of some kind into the Nokia phones (outdated firmware on otherwise excellent E51, poor build quality on otherwise excellent E52, short battery life on otherwise excellent Nokia 700)
Have to say this one is still pretty tempting - if only they would put Symbian/Nokia Belle into it!
Enough of these huge, plastic phones already!
It's nice big Keypad,i like White one,but still I prefer my Nokia 6700 Classic,as same my one this new phone with No WLAN again:(
At last, as many people as i see from the comments, me too was looking for a device like this. Many smart phones do a lot of tricks but do not respect the basic rules of telephony.
Was looking for that kind of phone. Will buy it on the first day and it will replace my hp veer
iamsujeet, 28 Aug 2013yes I did the direct conversion :p I agree its a cool device but price should be a little less.Agree,It is high considering not many people use them anymore, but it is not high considering built quality and durability....
ben.affleck, 28 Aug 2013LOL..you must be doing direct conversion, for the record price lumia 520 was 150€ before releas... moreyes I did the direct conversion :p I agree its a cool device but price should be a little less.
Anonymous, 28 Aug 2013Yeah, obviously this is much better value for money. The only thing that exites me about this phone is that, it can be used as modem for pc/laptop like older nokia symbian and s40 phones , which Lumia series lacks.
Nokia definitely knows how to build devices. I'm more of a smart phone guy so im invested in the lumia series. If they can apply this sorta design to the lumia phablet (1520) then that would be awesome.
Is this the big announcement then that was planned for the 28th in Moscow? I can't see any other news from Nokia anywhere
