And assuming that something is especially good for everyone only because "most people" buy it is the wrong assumption.
I don't care for other people if I buy something for ME.
Nobody can ever proof anything on the internet. But on the other side, how can you proof your personal feelings toward something in real life?
It's really sad that someone ask to prove that someoine have no brand loyalty.
For me it's just normal. I don't care for names, I care only about perfomance, specs and what I need or want. I'll buy what I like (if I can afford it). Whenn I can't afford it, I'll accept it and go with the 2nd best (for me) and so on.
I'm not even deluding myself that something is bad and "garbage" only because I haven't enough money to buy it.
That should be a natural thing to do. Prove or not...

It's so terrible that I never could myself bring to buy a Samsung phone (however I had to use one of my company).
It bloated, slow (makes any high end processor feels like a slug), and totally unlogical in user experience.
So I had many different brands, because I want to get new exciting things. I have no brand loyality. I don't care for names. It's only about my personal experience and modern takes.
If you are okay with Samsung, great. A lot of people seem to be. But for me it's the worst Android experience.

If Samsung & pixel don't have good upgrade, they don't have good point anymore.
So it's depends on what you like
If you care about update then samsung & pixel is for you
If you care about lightning speed charging, good camera quality, good zoom capability, cool UI... Then Huawei, xiaomi, vivo, oppo is for you

There are different rates of discounts for some electronic products but they are the same for all companies. For smartphones, smartbands/smartwatch and wireless earphones it's 15%. The same for all. No special treatment for Huawei or any other brand. I just bought a Huawei smartband this week with the 15% discount
